“Skip shopping at big corporates and go to Bartell! I can’t say enough good things about this store! With a major snowstorm coming, I called asking if they had any salt in their inventory and there was, and the owner saved me the last bag (without me asking). To top it off, the staff graciously helped load it into my car so I could get home safely. This is exactly why it’s so important to shop local—you just don’t get this kind of thoughtful, proactive service anywhere else. Highly recommend!”

“Costello's Ace Hardware is my go to spot. There was one located in very close proximity to my Fabrication / Machining / Repair / Detail - shop. 95% of the time they have what I'm looking for. I have gotten to know all the staff and they are always very friendly and accommodating. They also offer my company a business discount which is nice. And they stock a lot more things than you would imagine a hardware store would. I am also a custom builder by trade and they have all types of hardware that I use daily. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed.”

“I'm glad I used Google to find this location. My husband only want to use Benjamin Moore paint and this location has the paint and all the extras that you will need. I parked in the front but there is even more parking spaces in the back. The staff was friendly. The lady that helped me did everything from getting the paint, ringing me up and even brought the two 5 gallons of paint directly to the car and placed them inside ?. She lifted the gallons up effortlessly. When I got home I thought I could do the same thing. No! My neighbors Ring camera probably recorded my struggle. ? I will let the contractor remove the remaining gallon from the car.”

The women answering the phone, in a pleasant manner , to said “ we have one here and will have him call you .”. Ten minutes later Frank called me and said he would “be there by days end.” He spoke to my wife ,found out her hours ,and arrived after her last customer was seen. The lock was repaired ,and my wife was able to go home knowing the front door was secure. We cannot than Frank and Bunchers enough for quality and caring service Dr Sherman”

“It’s just what a small town hardware store should be Staff is excellent. Very helpful advising on types of paint for each project. You can walk in with a random nut or bolt and Walther knows exactly what you need to pair up with it. So if some say the pricing is a little higher than going to the “bigger” stores, the service and convenience is well worth it. Who has the extra hour or two to drive to a highway store, and then wander around with no one to help you, only to stand in a long checkout line? Village hardware is the gem of downtown Chatham And if you bring your “friendly well behaved” dog, the staff will give it a milkbone. Been going here 18 years and enjoy the experience every time”

“We were very impressed with the service Area Rentals provided. We are a Nursing Home and during some of the concecutive very hot days we were in need of additional portable ac units in our kitchen and laundry room. Area rentals responded immediately, came down right away and installed these units without any issues. We absolutely would use their services again and highly recommend using them for service.”

“I guess a few years ago they changed the formula for their pigments, and last year I came here and bought the paint that a lot of my house was done in, but it didn’t match at all. I didn’t use it, and brought it back almost a year later, along with a sample of my existing paint, and they matched it most excellently without any additional charge. The woman who helped me was extremely nice, and definitely earned my return business. Thanks for your help. It’s a near perfect match.”

“We have been a customer for decades. They run a good business, and we are fortunate to have them nearby. The senior guys are very good, the first floor guys are good, the second floors guys need to step it up (the second floor has been declining for years), and the guys out back are very good. It can be expensive.”

“Harbor Freight is a good place to shop if you're looking for a better price than you might find at Home Depot or Lowe's. Of course it needs to be mentioned when it comes to selecting tools, quality does matter and you would be surprised the quality of tools at Harbor Freight. The thing I would like to mention why you're purchasing a tool, if you're a contractor and you're going to be using that tool daily to make a living Home Depot or Lowe's may offer better quality but if you're an avid handy person Harbor Freight Tools may very well serve you well.”

“Well organized, but recently they haven’t been as well stocked. Some of the tools are good for the price, especially for DIY projects or light-to-moderate use. If you know what you’re buying and stick to their better product lines, you can get solid value without overspending. Look out for the parking lot sales — that’s where the real deals are. The coupons and membership discounts can make a noticeable difference. Staff is generally helpful, and the return process is straightforward. Just make sure to check inventory online before making a trip since popular items tend to sell out quickly.”
