“Great used bookstore in the heart of Hoboken's shopping district! I have shopped for books here for years and am currently a volunteer. The atmosphere is welcoming and the store itself is ran well. Definitely a must stop when in or around Hoboken. Great section for fiction and so many big art books with great prices!”

“This place caught my attention the minute I saw it. I love bookstores especially local paces that cater to the community and has even a big kid section downstairs. They have a range of genres and even a staff selection which I thought was very creative. They also have some seat around if you want to read and check out your books before puechasing. The pace was very calm, books are fairly priced for a local boo store and staff was attentive to help those around me. I would love to come stop by again!”

“A gem of a bookstore in Bayonne. The owner is super knowledgeable and is great to talk to about reading any type of book which helps calibrate and find the books you didn’t know you were looking for!The selection of books reflects her wide ranging curiosity and interests and I’ve found 2 or more books that pique my interest every time. What a treat.”

“What an absolutely amazing store for fans of theatre arts! From the moment you enter, you know you're in a special place. The spiral book art swirling through the entrance and store are a dramatic and simple welcome for what is to come. The front section is books on actors, biographies, acting technique, theatre business, costumes, set building, you name it. If you need to learn something about acting or theatre arts, chances are, there is a book on it in the Drama Book shop. The middle area is where the coffee station is. We didn't have any coffee but it smelled great. The back part of the store was my favorite, with rows and rows of scripts, librettos it's a script lover's dream come true. They are in author last name alphabetical order, though I do wish they were by genre as well. There are lots of little nooks and seating areas to settle into if you want to write, study, read or just relax. The restrooms were also very tidy. Can't wait to return!”

“It is such a beautiful collection of books with African centric art and clothing. It's great to hear how they partner with other local businesses as well. The customer service was great, and since I came there to check out their clothes, the staff was very supportive and assisted me through the process. I first found out about them through a street fair they hosted with other vendors. And I love their variety of children books that represent the kids I work with. Overall, wonderful store.”

“Such an amazing selection of both books and stationery! Their manga/graphic novel section is also crazy impressive. I spent way more money than I should have but I couldn't resist. The stationery level was a dream. I was able to find so many great brands I love. The cashier was very kind and suggested I get a member ship to save on my big order which was great. Just got my $10 gift card in the mail too! Great spot.”

“The owner, family, employees and even the other guests were truly delightful. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was greeted with not only amazing smells of the fresh canolis, cappuccino and homemade pastas but inviting and friendly faces. The design and thoughtfulness put into the hotel is breathtaking - all of the history wrapped into a hotel with a story and breathtaking views in the rooms. If you're lucky, you'll even get to listen to Randy's talented children artfully playing the piano. Thank you Blue Moon hotel for this special treat!Your friend from South Dakota”

“Ok, I kind of really hate reading, (always have, REALLY wish i didn't, i just simply can't help it) but after coming through here and seeing all the different genres and personality in this place, it lowkey made me want to read a book LOL. I always enjoy looking at the nonfiction and travel sections, and the selection is HUGE. The place is really well organized and clean too, which makes it easier to navigate through the three floors worth of books they have. Also for the niche audience that would care... they do have jellycats. Listening to chemtrails over the country club while walking through this place is the ultimate vibe.. would recommend 10/10.”

“Great local bookstore, walked by it one day and saw a sign "$1 books" with several full carts of books, many in very good/near-perfect condition. The employees are very friendly, had good recommendations and to say they are extremely passionate about literature doesn't fully do it justice.”

“A cozy, neighborhood gem of a bookstore and decided I found a new favorite. Though the selection of fiction are not that extensive, I love how they have book recommendations, bargain options, and blind date with a book available. The basement was dedicated mostly for young adult and children books. They also have a stationary, gift items and random trinkets which I also love!”

“Very welcoming place from the entrance. The address was easy to locate on the building and upon entry the receptionist greeted with a warm smile. Well lit, the spacious community area gave way to private nooks to carry out private conversations and manage private business. The elevators made the building accessible as well as multiple restrooms for all. Excellent place to learn and entertain.”

“Finally had the pleasure of sitting here all afternoon. The store is very well kept and attended to. The book displays and merchandise are very well displayed. The visible rafters, exposed brick, & large windows give it that 1800s vibe. Grady was so pleasant to converse with. However, my only issue is that it’s way too cold in here. The thermostat read 64°. My feet were cold and my toes were numb. The bathroom could use some tidying up. If it’s always this cold in here that’s definitely a deterrent for me especially in the winter months.”

“I have not yet had the privilege to walk into Mizrahi's physical location. However, approximately 5 years ago, I messaged him asking if he had an off the beaten track item in stock, and if he could let me know when he receives it.I just received an email from him, many years later that he had finally got his hands on it.Israel not only knows the details about his 100s of thousands of SKUs, he even knows who messaged him about it, and he does an excellent job of playing matchmaker between the man and the book.”

“Excellent bookstore, good selection of books in Portuguese and Spanish as well as translated BraSilian Spanish authors. Not to mention everything else. Amazing selection of comics. They also edit some really good stuff. Excellent on all counts!”

“Astoria Bookshop is tucked away off the main drag and that only makes it more perfect. The shop is loaded with current best sellers, kids books & cute notebooks, bookmarks and cards. They even had some signed copies of books that were great to see. The ladies were so friendly and sweet. I had my dog with me and they were so excited to see her and offered her treats and pets. Checked out the shops Instagram where they have all their events & happenings. I also picked up my next read and I'll definitely go back there for more books and tosupport this great shop!”

“If you're a book lover, like me, I recommend this old fashioned bookstore. They have a great collection of books at very good prices. They also have a nice collection of books about New York. I bought a rare find for my collection on books about New York. I got it at a great price. It was $35 but the Gentleman working there sold it to me for $32 inc. tax. The people running the place were very nice and helpful as was a lady that was there who seemed to be a neighbor and frequent visitor. The only drawback is that it only opens on Saturdays and Sundays. It is worth waiting until the weekend to visit this ? gem of a ? bookstore.”
