1284 NJ-35, MiddletownThis afternoon, my friend Maria and I were in Middletown, New Jersey, and ventured into the Pet Shoppe at Squire Plaza.
We were met with a heartwarming sight as we stepped through the door - two magnificent Golden Retrievers wagging their tails and greeting us with friendly barks and licks; these dogs belonged to The Pet Shoppe’s owner, Dana. Dana welcomed us with a warm smile, and we could immediately tell her genuine love for animals.
The delightful ambiance of the place immediately struck us - there was no overpowering smell of confined animals, no sense of suffering or neglect. Instead, the puppies at the Pet Shoppe were happily playing in spacious pens, interacting with other puppies, and receiving all the care and attention they deserved.
Dana took pride in offering a diverse selection of small, medium, and giant breeds of puppies, ensuring that each one was healthy, well-socialized, and came from responsible breeders. The Pet Shoppe was a business and a sanctuary for these furry companions, where they were treated with love and respect.
We are immensely impressed that the Pet Shoppe was a proud NJ Coalition of Responsible Pet Stores member, standing firm against puppy mills and unethical breeding practices. We knew that when the time came to bring a new furry family member home, the Pet Shoppe would be their first choice, where we could find a loving companion to cherish for a lifetime.
And so, the afternoon at the Pet Shoppe became a memory filled with warmth, joy, and the promise of a future bond with a healthy four-legged friend. As we left the shop, we were happy knowing there was a place like the Pet Shoppe where animals were truly valued and cared for.

I have a dog & 2 cats and they all go; along with cats/kittens I’ve fostered. They are very compassionate and take a lot of time to review diagnosis and answer your questions. Their pricing is fair based on typical veterinary costs. They give clear estimates for procedures. Recommend them 100%!

I bought my cat in for an emergency visit on a Sunday and didn't have to wait too long to see a Dr. Unfortunately I found out some bad news and ended up having to say goodbye to my Franky, but the Dr was very compassionate and let me spend as much time as I needed with him. It was a sad day but they were great about it.

Hotel For Dogs
401 NJ-36, Port MonmouthI have been getting my dog groomed in Brooklyn where we use to live and the girls did an ok job because my little dog wears a diaper or he would pee everywhere he gets matted underneath so they shave his hair. We moved to NJ a couple of months ago and the first time I took him to a place here and when I picked him up I just started to cry and I said what did you do to my dog and I didn’t even care about her response he didn’t even look like my dog he was close to bald and then someone told me about Hotel for Dogs and I was so amazed how incredible he looked better than any place I ever took him I just love the way he looks. Thank You th every one who did such an amazing job he looks like a puppy and he’s 8yrs old.

I couldn't leave without taking home some frozen prepared sides for another night. Double cheddar Mac n cheese and potatoes au gratin even sweet potato souffle. Going save me time in the hot kitchen. You need to pick up the desserts. I didn't realize there was a cheesecake sampler, southern pecan pie, apple caramel walnut pie, carrot cake, blueberry coffee cake and NY cheesecake. Forget bringing me a bottle of wine. Get me a pie. My new local spot Honey Baked Ham Cafe Middletown. Dine in or take out.

I've been eating at this establishment for years and the service is exceptional for me and my family every time! The pizza is very delicious as well. I always have a solid lunch/dinner when I order from this fine establishment. I highly recommend this place as a good hotspot to sit down and grab a quick bite!
