“I went from Turo (going down-hill) to Enterprise to now HERTZ! Rent about twice a month from Newark. Most of the time a smooth pick-up drop-off from Gold. Prices are always spot on - as long as you DO NOT DO ADDITIONAL ADD ONS! I have my own insurance (plus credit card travel insurance) and DO NOT USE PLATE PASS - rip offs. I would give a 4 star for some of the car issues and Plate Pass issues that Hertz refused to help with. However, Hertz is making a come-back and deserve more than a 1 star (consumer) or 2 star (yelp).”

“I rented a car from Budget at Newark (EWR) and returned it at Hartford (BDL). The whole process was smooth and easy. Since I chose the Pay Now (prepaid) option and had my own EZPass transponder, the counter service at EWR was very quick—done in about 5 minutes. The car was clean, in good condition, and ready to go.
The return at BDL was just as simple—fast and hassle-free. The one-way rental option was very convenient, and the price was fair compared to other companies.
One suggestion for improvement: it would be great if Budget had a separate counter for Pay Now customers. This would make check-in even faster and would give more people a reason to choose the prepaid option, on top of the savings Budget already offers compared to Pay Later.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and would definitely rent from Budget again.”
“Thank you to the entire Enterprise Team at the Newark Penn Station location. I've never had such a seamless car rental experience, the staff was accommodating, patient, professional and friendly. The car was clean and in great condition. Walter reached out and kept me updated as to the status of my pickup and Fatimata was extremely cordial, not pushy on additional coverage but super informative about coverage options and my liabilities etc. Fatimata paid so much attention to detail that they even remembered upon my return the reason for my travel and cared enough to ask about my trip. I highly recommend this location and this is now my go to location for all car rental needs.”
“No express check out. I had to do a normal check out even after doing their check-in ahead of time. It saved me no time. Most rental car places let you go directly to the lot if you've already done the online check-in.”
“Checking out the car was a wait even having done all processes online. The walk from the Air train terminal A stop to the rental counters was also very long.
Returning the car was great working with Brian, he even gave us curb drop off service to our departure terminal.”
“Recently went on a family vacation and rented a big suv from this airport location. When we arrived service was just ok, a machine could've done what they did. However, on our way back when we returned the vehicle, the difference in professionalism, kindness and just overall customer service was definitely felt. The gentleman that helped us was super nice, prefessional and kind. When we thanked him, all he said was, "of course its our pleasure. Let us know if when we can help you on you next rental need". This was a short statement but it felt honest, like he really care. Anyways, this was a simple transaction turned into a great experience. For parents traveling with 4 big bags, several backpacks and carseats, hi help made a huge difference.”
