I called ABP and got exactly what I needed, at a good price, with helpful service, and had it delivered within 48 hours. It was a tricky delivery -- down a narrow side alley -- and one of the owners came himself on the truck and drove the forklift. Thanks!”

“The young lady who works there is very knowledgeable. I had called two different plumbers two times in the past 4 months and paid a total of $450 to unclog my kitchen sink. They did nothing. Just ripped me off and didn't address the issue. Before calling another plumber, I stopped by this store and the lady recommended a liquid to pour in the drain. I've never seen the sink work better in my stay of 10 months in the current apartment. She deserves recommendation.”

As for the pricing I find it generally pretty far compared to other hardware stores or the Homeless Despot. They have a much much better selection than HD and there is always a person who actually knows what they are doing unlike HD. I have been going for years here only thing I don't like is the hours they are open during the week and only on Saturday until 2, can't blame them.”
“If you are looking for personable service you will find it at Sugarhill Hardware. No way could I have called or walked into a major retailer like Home Depot or Lowes and received the support ( that's beyond service) that I received from this family-owned business. I called, they listened and dispatched a well qualified family member to my home ASAP to correct a plumbing issue. I have never seen anything like it. Professional & serious about my plumbing issue in less than an hour my old faucet was removed and a new one installed. The price was soooo right!!! Thank you Marco (Dad) & sons Jeremy, & Marvin. Wonderful for a first time novice, they take their time and are always available. And obviously also seems very useful for experienced people, so many items. “My custom BBQ was leaking... found out one of the custom hose fittings cracked. Ordered a new custom hose but the manufacturer screwed up on the size of the fitting. Went to General Plumbing Supply and the guys in the plumbing department were very helpful in figuring out what I could use to get my hose to work. Took a couple of minutes... but came back with a series of pieces and they showed me what I needed to get it to work.”

They clearly were not just trying to make money and had a lot of experience. One of them told me that it's third-generation owned and operated and you can tell. There's no way I could have done this project by going to a place like Home Depot, where the staff can't help, the lines for paint take forever, and the prices aren't that much different.
