“Needed help with door lock in new apt in NYC. Sky was recommended by my supt--and they were fantastic. Not only fixed the lock (which involved some complicated readjusting of plates and bolt) but also helped me figure out why door was continuing to stick (such that it wouldn't open) and then addressed THAT with general handyman skills at no extra charge. Fee was actually less than originally quoted. Couldn't have been nicer or more professional. Highly recommend.”

“First I'd like to say the customer service from whoever answered the phone to the many knowledgeable employees they have on the floor to always help is amazing . I went there to get keys made but wasn't coming back in the area for a week so I wa Ted confirmation if the keys didn't work was ok to come back a week later with them ? The answer was a resounding YES NOT A ISSUE !!! Well the keys were cut perfectly (5) in total . Great place and if in the area of Columbia University I suggest 100 % use them for your hardware needs !”

They have been helpful with paint supplies, key duplication, plumbing emergencies, etc. I appreciate having a convenient business with helpful staff members that are nice (which isn't always the case in NYC). Much better than big box stores for most things. And fair prices, too. Standard key duplication is only $2.Definitely recommend for convenience, answering questions and guiding me to products for my project.”

I called ahead to tell them what I needed in my own words I told them and they guided me throughout the whole process, I needed some lumber and didn’t know the measure of the lumber at all, one of gentleman at front took his time to show me the lumber I needed to make sure if that’s the lumber I needed for my project! They have a bunch of tools there and if you need any help, they are open help you! Highly recommended! Will be coming back for my next project!”

“This hardware store is fabulous on so many levels... It’s got a really great selection and is very well stocked. The floor staff is so helpful, but the brightly shining star of this store is the manager. I needed a variety of items and had no idea how to zero in on what was necessary for my project but the manager gave me just the right advice and direction. I had brought a lamp in to possibly be fixed (who knew they could do that repair a lamp at a local hardware store) and was told yes! It can be done! I dropped it off I got a call two hours later that it was ready to be picked up! The manager was so professional, competent, patient and just a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this store and I am in awe of the service I received!”

I had a pendant light that came with the wrong ceiling anchors and they helped me get the right one and offered to help me figure out how to install it with a wall switch. Will be coming back!”

“I came in to see if - by a long shot - I could get a skeleton key that matched the old lock that I had removed from my door. I was helped immediately. The staff worked tirelessly at scraping off the old paint, learning the lock's mechanisms, getting it working and trying all sorts of keys. They even grinder off a bit of a key to make sure it worked. Incredible service. So patient and thoughtful. I never thought anyone would go so above and beyond for this! Loyal customer here!”

“Fantastic local hardware store, a solid 5 stars. Plenty of actively helpful and informed staff were available. They helped me get setup with caulk needed to fix my banging window. Better service than I've seen at larger stores, even in other states. Also an impressive selection for the size, even having wood. Given that there were three different options for caulk dispensers, you can anticipate the selection of hardware is impressive in this location. Will return!!”
