I called ABP and got exactly what I needed, at a good price, with helpful service, and had it delivered within 48 hours. It was a tricky delivery -- down a narrow side alley -- and one of the owners came himself on the truck and drove the forklift. Thanks!”

As for the pricing I find it generally pretty far compared to other hardware stores or the Homeless Despot. They have a much much better selection than HD and there is always a person who actually knows what they are doing unlike HD. I have been going for years here only thing I don't like is the hours they are open during the week and only on Saturday until 2, can't blame them.”
“My custom BBQ was leaking... found out one of the custom hose fittings cracked. Ordered a new custom hose but the manufacturer screwed up on the size of the fitting. Went to General Plumbing Supply and the guys in the plumbing department were very helpful in figuring out what I could use to get my hose to work. Took a couple of minutes... but came back with a series of pieces and they showed me what I needed to get it to work.”
“If you are looking for personable service you will find it at Sugarhill Hardware. No way could I have called or walked into a major retailer like Home Depot or Lowes and received the support ( that's beyond service) that I received from this family-owned business. I called, they listened and dispatched a well qualified family member to my home ASAP to correct a plumbing issue. I have never seen anything like it. “Came in with my dad to pick up some extra things to put in an AC bracket for a window unit. We brought in some of our supplies and tools because we were feeling a little stuck, and the guys here were super friendly and patient with us, especially given that English is not my father’s first language. We only bought one small piece for a drill, but they spent time listening to us while I asked if our game plan made sense.
What I really appreciated is that my dad was getting frustrated with the bracket I bought (which of course I got a cheap one from Amazon). He asked if they had any in store, so the guy working there showed us what he had and explained how they needed to be installed, but told us we should still try using what we have first with the new drill piece we were buying. I appreciated that they weren’t pushing us to buy things that we don’t need and have my dad a little more confidence in getting this job done. That experience alone will have me coming back in the future when I need anything to fix something up in my apartment, and I’ll recommend them to any of my friends in town who need something.”
