“Had a small accident and twisted the front brake/shift lever on my road bike. Took it in thinking it might be a bigger repair, but the bike expert gave it a quick tap with his palm and had it back in place in seconds!
I was impressed and asked how he did it. The owner just smiled and said, “Tricks of the trade.” 😂

“I had a fantastic experience with Edgar at Trek Bicycle Stuyvesant Town. I brought my bike in with an annoying creak coming from the bottom bracket, and he quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue with precision and care.
On top of that, he tuned my drivetrain to perfection—it’s now running whisper quiet with incredibly clean, sharp gear changes. The bike honestly feels better than it has in a long time.

Very good selection of high-end, high quality e-bikes and cargo bikes. People seem to know what they do and only carry good stuff. Of course comes with a price but that's pretty normal.
If you buy from them, beware their inventory might be inaccurate. I bought a $4k bike there, I pulled the trigger on that because I was told the bike was in stock locally and I could get it assembled promptly, and, as a very demanded brand, the bike might not stay in stock long.
10 days after, looking forward to pick-up my bike who was supposed to only have to be assembled, I discover it's not there and still need to ship from the maker. Bottom line: wait three more weeks. I would have never pulled the trigger on that purchase that fast honestly...
Who to blame? Officially, the inventory system isat fault. Doesn't matter much honestly, that's just not reliable regardless of where the mistake - be aware of that if you buy on stock info.
What next? Well, I'd hope a commercial gesture as this is really a poor customer experience but mostly, I wait for my bike.

couple days after the bad news, someone from Propel called me to try to find solutions to solve my issue. Offering a discount or a loaner bike (which nobody initially thought about, even not me). I took them on the proposal of a loaner bike of course, as it's really
what mattered to me: to be able to replace 1h of public transportation with my kid in 15' bike ride to go to school and then to work. Thanks guys!

“They spent time up front really figuring out what was going on with my road bike instead of just jumping straight into a fix, which I appreciated. Once they diagnosed the issue, they got the new part installed and had everything running smoothly again. I recommend asking another staff member besides the man who usually mans the front counter. Or don't be afraid to support other local businesses where people are treated fairly and with warmth regardless of how you look.

“Just a FYI place opens slightly after 8 AM, like 8:20 or so but this is one of the only bike shops open in the area at that time — started the day off with a flat, really quick and efficient service once it opened, they had me back on the road in less than 10 minutes, super clutch, great value too, got an inner tube and tire changed for $45 — you can't get a deal like that in most of the city. Another FYI this place is cash/Zelle only!”
“Ordered the Bruzer on sale over Christmas. Couldn’t be happier. Just wanted a simple easy to use commuter that I can ride with flats on it. The pinion is way smoother than my Rohloff hub in my old bike was that I had and this bike feels way lighter and better balanced.
I added some new Surly bars, my Brooks saddle, some Ergon grips, and my bags. I also added some tubeless tires. It’s such a nice quiet ride that is super fast and comfortable.”
