“Had a great experience here! Customer service was outstanding. My request was obscure, but the gentleman assisting me was relentless on the hunt and found a fantastic script anthology. Just what my students need. Oh, and service with a sunny disposition! Thanks Drama Bookshop!”

“Like barnes and noble but on a smaller scale and you can sell used books to them....great for an outing and to grab a good book....they even have a date with book section where you can get a mystery book”
“Exquisite. Exclusive. Exclusivity. I read and write a lot, I am now working on my fourth book project, and apparently, 99.9 percent of people have thought about writing a book, or the thought has emerged in their head, but only 0.1 percent of people have actually gone on to publish one. Exclusivity. Writing a book and then publishing one is the essence and the definition of exclusivity in my humble opinion. And just the air and smell of a bookstore gives off that aura and vibe of exclusivity. And this one is of course outstanding.”
“I live one block from this iconic establishment is so incredibly special and unique and just feels like old New York and certainly is an icon and a staple here in the Williamsburg area. The solution books is truly overwhelming from classic books to fashion to coffee table to not to mention the incredible stationary cards and pins. The staff is so lovely and it’s great location and just always consistent. Great service. I have here all the time they have the best coffee table books ever for the perfect gift to bring to a hose for their party. I love it so much. It’s one of the last remaining actual genuine, authentic Williamsburg establishments.”
“I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a lovely experience today I wanted to express my gratitude. I have been in the UES for over a decade and this is my first time stumbling upon this phenomenal hidden gem, and it did not disappoint! Such a great variety of books! In a lot of used bookstores it’s hard to find modern, bestselling fiction, but what a selection they had! The customer service was fantastic! And to learn the proceeds go to supporting the New York Public Library system made me love them even more! Will definitely be back MANY more times to come! Thank you for a great experience!”
“A great place to just chill and read, have a cup of java, very easy to find what you need!! My favorite store!!
Also got to meet my favorite author last night, Douglas Preston!”
“The Blue Moon hotel feels like you have traveled back in time the moment you step inside the lobby. The hotel was clean, rooms were lovely and spacious, for a NYC hotel. This is a historic, family run hotel, so don’t expect fancy amenities, although our room was equipped with a small fridge, burner and sink on an ample size counter, and you can order your fridge pre-stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Located right across the street from the Tenement Museum. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.”

“It’s actually insane how perfect this store is. It has a phenomenal assortment of books with a creative layout by subgenre. Want splatterpunk? Horror romance? Literary? They’ve got sections for it! The dim lighting and dark paint makes the space feel incredibly cozy and comforting, in an eerie haunted house way. Feeling too claustrophobic? They have a backyard with plentiful seating! There’s a restroom, always clean, with free tampons. There is a cafe with an excellent drinks menu and local baked goods, and wine and beer! The non book merch is soooo cute; it’s a struggle not to drop hundreds of dollars here. Pins, cards, stickers, jewelry, socks, tees, etc. The staff are all so warm and welcoming too. And the open hours are long, with lots of cool events in the evenings! Genuinely this is my favorite business in all of Brooklyn.”
“Absolutely the best record store I have been to in ages. Always a steal of some sort in the “just in” section - makes the prices of most vinyl places seem patently absurd. Also a cool albeit small, well-curated book selection, and just a mellow look and vibe with a friendly staff. I always look forward to a trip to Soldato and it’s definitely the gem of our town.”
“My son and I love coming to Symposia to browse books and meet nice people! The books are in amazing condition. A perfect place to pick up a gift or your next read!”

“This is my favorite bookstore in the area. Of course the selection is great, but what makes it stand out is the warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff that is not only so knowledgeable, but is so willing to help. They’re also willing to hang back if you just want to browse, but I love getting their recs.”
“I adore this store and visit every time I am in town. The highlight of my business trips are always browsing this store. Their customer service is beyond stellar. There is always someone around to help locate something or answer questions. The folks who answer the phone are always very polite and helpful. Their membership is a great value and comes with a cute card!
The above and beyond: I had requested a hold for an incoming item that was delayed - it was an hour before I had to catch a train (won't be back for a few months) and last ditch effort called to ask if it had arrived. They were still processing the day's delivery. The woman on the phone could have easily told me I needed to wait until I received a call that it was ready and I would have understood, but instead she located the item and prepped it for pickup. I was able to purchase it and make my train. Beyond grateful for their amazing service.”
“A delightful bookstore in SoHo. Great selection of books and found a few books that I was looking for.
Slightly more pricey than books you can order online but still worth a visit whilst you're in SoHo.”
“One of my favorite local bookstores. The staff is very friendly, they offer a wide range of books, and a lot of new releases across different genres. When I've wanted a book that isn't on the shelf they always offer to see if they can order it to the store for pick up at a later date. There's also a nice sized children's section for little readers!”
“Good hospitality great service from the time Lady who served us, books bring your laptop and enjoy some alone time and they have a spot for the babies 3.99 to play very upscale located of of main Street in Clifton, across from the Walgreens”

•Staff are very kind and accommodating too.”
“Great selection of classic adult and children books. Great number of art books too. Very nice wrapping service during the holidays. The postcard selection could be better but overall it's a lovely store.”
“Such an adorable local graphic novel store that has an amazing catalog of books, zines, art from local and classic artists. Such a gem of a place, come support this awesome local bookstore.”
“Great shop with a friendly staff and a nice selection of comics, collectibles, and figures. The store is organized, welcoming, and always worth stopping into. Definitely recommend Royal Collectibles.”
“Skip Amazon and come here instead! I walked past this shop and was immediately drawn in by its warm, soulful vibe. The staff is incredibly kind, and they have a beautiful selection of crystals, sound bowls, and self-growth books. I ended up buying Himalayan salt candle holders that beat Amazon's prices and quality by a mile.
Definitely stop in if you want to add some calm, meaningful energy to your space.”
“Like If a treehouse turned into a dreamy store pulling stars from the sky, weaving art from clouds, pressed flowers, and glittery aquarium soil, selling trinkets, ephemera, & zines made by the community”
“Have loved this store my whole life. The owner is a gem and is not only extremely knowledgeable and just a quintessential book lover, he was always very kind to my daughter (even played chess with her when she was younger). And there’s a great selection with great prices!”
“Friendly beautiful book store. Brought my little granddaughter today. We sat and read little books in the toddlers section and she was happy. She felt cozy comfortable and selected a couple new books. Raising a reader.”

“Absolutely love this bookstore and their ‘Blind Date with a Book’ idea — it makes such a unique and thoughtful gift. My girlfriend loves to read, and we’ve visited twice now. Both times, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and more than willing to help us find what we needed. You can really tell they care about creating a great experience. Definitely a place we’ll keep coming back to”
“Tannens is a great store. I've bought from them a good handful of times. Always great service. This time, I figured I'd try the $50 mystery box. First time purchasing it. Man(!!!) am I glad I did. I know this must be a rarity, I opened the box and saw a thin book, something in another box, a thick deck of cards and a mentalism piece that was in a thin cardboard box. So, ok, let's see what I got. The thick deck of cards was The Bigger Picture, the thin book was HERMES, the mentalism piece in the box was Rhine 2000. What was in the other box, A Mikame Magicians Changing Chest circa 2005 in brand new condition!! I was FLOORED!! I'm sure I got really lucky.
Thank you Tannens”
“This store has some K-pop, Korean skincare, cute cultural traditional trinkets, and flowers which I got as gifts.
The gentleman went above and beyond to help me find the greeting cards that I wanted and books for my children. They have lots of Korean inspired items that are not available online. Jane who works on Saturday afternoon is very kind and helpful English speakers.
I’m glad to see that bookstores like this are still around. I like to shop in person.”
