“The room and hotel was very nice and reasonably priced. Our only issue was we didn't receive the hotel access info until 1:49 am the following day. We had to make a few calls to gain access. This was at or around 10:00 pm. The young lady from the hotel said I should have received an e-mail from the hotel, but I hadn't.”

“Excellent location for staying close to New York City. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the PATH train station, with convenient connections to both Newark and the World Trade Center. The breakfast was fairly good, and the complimentary shuttle service was a nice addition.

The room was spacious and included an additional pullout sofa bed. The well-equipped kitchenette came with a fridge and dishwasher. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay.”

“Can’t say enough good things about The Hub! We had an almost disastrous reservation issue due to booking through Super.com. (NEVER AGAIN) Thankfully, Carlos at the front desk was incredible by helping me reach out to the third party and getting the correction made. He is a very kind, helpful and sweet man. “We stayed at this hotel primarily due to its proximity to Penn Station Newark, which was within walking distance and made it very convenient for travel. In that sense, the location was the biggest advantage and the main reason for choosing this property. The hotel itself felt like a bit of a diamond in the rough. It was well kept and clean throughout, which was appreciated. The staff and general upkeep gave the impression that they do a good job maintaining the property. However, the rooms were clearly older and carried that dated feel, even though they were still clean and functional. The surrounding area is where the experience loses some points. In the evening, the area felt sketchy and not particularly comfortable for walking around. There also aren’t many dining options or convenient stores nearby, which limits flexibility if you need something outside of the hotel. There is a restaurant directly next door that we relied on for coffee and snacks during the day, which was very convenient. However, once it closed in the evening, dining options became limited, and we were essentially left with the more expensive restaurant inside the hotel.”

“Made a last-minute 3-night booking, got a good room but some of the lights were out. We were switched easily enough when I asked the following morning. Lucked out and got an upgrade. Rooms were clean, the breakfast had a lot of options, and the staff were very helpful with assisting me with the hotel’s business center. The location is not scenic but very convenient.”

“Loop Inn is honestly a very unique experience for what it’s designed to be.

This is very clearly a couples-focused romantic getaway spot, and they lean fully into that concept. Each room seems to have its own theme or unique setup, which makes the experience feel fun and memorable if you’re looking for something different from a standard hotel stay. Our room included some really cool features that definitely added to the atmosphere.

That said, the property does show its age in places. Some rooms feel very much like they came straight out of the late 90s / early 2000s, and there are some visible wear-and-tear details like minor wall damage or dated layouts. Personally, that didn’t bother me much because that’s not really the reason couples are booking a place like this ?

A few practical things worth noting:

- Room outlet placement was a little odd, and in our room there weren’t outlets conveniently near the bed.
- No drawers/storage in the room we booked.
- Fireplace use requires purchasing logs separately, which may be worth knowing in advance.
- Their food service appears to be more of a local ordering/partner service setup rather than in-house dining (we didn’t personally use it).

The only part that felt off was the payment/check-in experience. The website appeared to process the reservation but didn’t clearly take payment, which created confusion at arrival. Because of that, the interaction with staff felt a little awkward, as though we were being treated like we were avoiding payment, when it seemed more like a system/process issue.

Overall though, if you understand what Loop Inn is meant for, it does its job well. Pricing felt reasonable for the experience, the themed romantic concept is genuinely fun, and it’s definitely a memorable couples getaway. I wouldn’t personally view it as a standard long-stay hotel, but for a romantic escape? Absolutely.”

“My partner and I came to this hotel for our second anniversary and we were so pleased with the hotels decor as well as our rooms design and amenities. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the pool and hot tub got us so relaxed it was amazing. What made the trip extra special though was our man David at the front desk! He was an absolute DELIGHT the entire weekend to the point that we wanted to leave a review for him on the official site AND on Google! Love that guy and because of him we may not only return to this West Orange Residence Inn, but may continue to book with Marriott moving forward”

“It was alright, place has maintenance issues. First room the window was heavily leaking from the rain. Also the sheets were not clean. Lots of women hair on the sheets. Not sure why. but the stay was alright. Noisy hotel. Breakfast was very good, was surprised that there were so many options. Busy hotel.”

“I recently retired. In the last 45 days, I've been in every state on the U.S. east coast from Florida to Maine and I have to admit, last night was the best sleep during this road trip. From checking in with Chloe (she's amazing btw, greet her kindly if she's on duty) to the cleaning of the room, which I normally have issues with (still Lysol'ed down everything though) everything felt right which put me at ease. If my stay was an anomaly, I'll take it, but if this is the norm my hat goes off to Chloe, the cleaning team, and management. Please keep up the great work.

Ohhhh... Did I mention that it's located next to some good shopping (Walmart, Target, Marshall's, etc...) and all the food places (Freddy's, Blaze, Starbucks, Panera Bread, Chick-fil-a, etc...) you can think of. All within walking distance. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Parking was free, breakfast was the norm, didn't expect much there. They had nice looking bananas though.”

“Very nice hotel just a little stressful to get to. The room was very clean ac was a little noisy being on low turning the fan up fix that problem. The halls was clean and smell of disinfectant. The restaurant (4:30pm to 11:00pm) is soooo good the price may be a little high for food and alcohol but for the convenience it's worth it. No free breakfast its a small stand that open from 6am to 12pm the options are ok don't expect to be anywhere near full without spend at least $25. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely come back to this hotel Whenever in Newark. I just recommend finding a good breakfast place to head to in the morning”

“Booked a room through a third party & paid insurance incase I had to cancel. I tried switching my dates due to pregnancy complications & they told me I could not do that. I was told I had to contact the hotel directly & ask if they could cancel the room.
Spoke to Samantha when I called the hotel & she was more than helpful. She asked me to reach out to the third party & stayed on the line with me until everything was resolved. She helped me solve the problem & more! Thank you Samantha !!”

“This is by far my favorite extended stay in NJ. I have stayed at several and the staff here is so friendly and accommodating. Mark and Amethyst do a wonderful job being hospitable and helpful through all aspects of the stay. My room was clean and the ladies come every morning to ask if I want service. I extended my stay for almost 2 months. Never an issue, the halls are quiet and pets being allowed and accommodated is a huge plus as well. Will be back whenever I am in NJ!”

I walked in to the front desk. Not even three minutes into being there, some kid kept screaming, “THEY’RE COMING!” No adult supervision for this kid. The line was so long and it look me around 10-12 minute to reach the front desk. When I got there, It was a random old man who looked like he experienced the Titanic. I asked him, “Just a room for one please.” You know what he said? “Sorry, we only have rooms for 50 people or up.” WHAT? ? Anyway, I got a room for 50. (It was $900 dollars by the way even though I’m one person). Despite being for 50 people and up, the room was TINY. I could barely fit my suitcase. After that, I immediately check out. Worst hotel experience ever.”

“I like how Ray is an interactive manager who doesn’t just sit in the back he’s very communicative and takes care of any issues you may have. The unit a neat and clean, housekeepers are always on point. It’s just a great atmosphere and vibrant environment to be in.”

“A great, modern hotel located right next to Newark Airport. The complimentary 24/7 airport shuttle that runs every 30 minutes makes it extremely convenient for travelers in transit or with an early flight. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I loved the beautiful indoor pool under the glass atrium and, of course, the signature warm chocolate chip cookie you get at check-in! It is also super close to The Mills at Jersey Gardens for shopping. Highly recommended for a layover!”
