I initially rented a vehicle that unfortunately broke down, and the subsequent switch-out process—particularly involving the Wayne location—was extremely challenging and inconvenient. After approximately a week, the East Orange team was able to switch me into another vehicle, and for that I am very grateful.

While I would highly recommend the East Orange location, the switch-out process and the team responsible for coordinating it could benefit from additional training. After my vehicle broke down in Clifton, no replacement options were offered, so I took the initiative to contact approximately ten different locations myself before finally reaching Wayne, which agreed to the switch. When I called back to update my Uber destination from Clifton to Wayne, I was advised that I would need to remain in Clifton until a vehicle became available.

This resulted in my husband—who was waiting for me at dialysis—being picked up two hours late. I asked whether I could leave the vehicle and retrieve the replacement rental, but I was initially told no and informed that I would not be provided a second vehicle until the first was picked up. I was given a two-hour wait time; however, at the end of that period, the tow company notified me there would be an additional one-hour delay. At that point, they agreed to provide a second vehicle and complete the switch.

Despite the difficulties with the switch-out process, the East Orange staff were professional, helpful, and accommodating, and they ultimately made the situation right.”
