“We stay in so many hotels and AB&B’s and this was a lovely blend of the two. It has such a close feel that you’re being well taken care of like at a hotel, but at the same time you are given all of the space that you want like an AB&B. This is a lovely place that is newly appointed and very clean, but oh so very delightful in their attention to historical charm. And the location is perfect.
Incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. There are no words for how much we loved the heated floors in the bathroom, the heated bidet, and the two jet shower! Great water pressure and temp in the shower. Bathrobes and slippers and linens/towels as needed. The soaps and such smelled amazing (and did not wreck my platinum hair!)
Wonderful smart tv with easy sign in. The automatic door codes for access to both building and room were so convenient. Flawless.
There were parking garages very close by that were adorable and easy but we also had no problem finding street parking the entire time since we were in an out (over a 5 day stay)
Cannot state how prime the location is. Easy walk to all of the Old City sights and museums. Amazing restaurants and bars within a few blocks. Easy Uber or Cab pickup and drop off. Felt very safe in the entire neighborhood. The views from our window were gorgeous.
The restaurant/bar downstairs was great and very tasty. (Shout out Kyle!). And the coffee/bagel place next door (Olivier Cafe) is great.
They need to add that they have a fridge in the room to the listing bc it took my husband a solid 2 days to open the door on his side of the bed and find it. *eyeroll*
It IS a walk-up… so factor that in. I had knee surgery in June and had to take it slow but was totally fine.
There was some construction going on, on the floor above us while we were there but as I understand from locals they have only had this property for a little while and have turned it over into the ideal and beautiful space it is now that is very modern while still being true to the historic building and neighborhood.
Just perfect. High fives all around.”

“Very attentive staff who are super helpful and supportive to assist in anyway possible. I truly am thankful for their team for assisting me during my hospital trip to Philly for surgery. They made this 10x easier for me to handle than any other hotel would have in my opinion. I will definitely be back and recommend. My favorite part was my first day being there to walk in Rittenhouse Park it was beautiful. Again location is perfect. Toiletries smell fantastic as well by the way.”

“We had a combo work trip + extended vacation back on the East Coast and immediately thought to stay at Lokal on Old City. The stay was perfect - we were on the 2nd floor in the Tina room specially that faced 3rd Street.
The space is incredibly welcoming and the amenities were great - including washer/dryer for our extended stay. The owners are highly communicative even proactively reaching out about restocking coffee in the kitchen.
We lived in Old City for years and to be back staying in the Lokal space felt like home!”

“We stayed in room 301 it was delightful and filled with so much history. It was like we were staying with friends. The location was great for sight seeing and all the staff were so pleasant. Jerry filled us in on the rich history of the house and various attractions within the city. Another great adventure.”
“From the moment I arrived, I could tell this hotel was something special. Every corner feels so thoughtfully designed — beautiful textures, warm lighting, and that perfect balance between cozy and chic. You can tell a lot of care went into every little detail. This is my second time staying at Anna and Bel and I feel rested, relaxed and inspired every time. 5 star experience!!!”
“Christina at the front desk was very welcoming and informative. She went above our expectations for the check in process and information about dining and the casino.”

“I had an excellent stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Philadelphia Navy Yard. The service was fantastic—staff were friendly and attentive. The location is ideal, especially if you’re planning to attend Phillies or Eagles games, as it’s just a short distance from the stadiums. There was plenty of parking available, making the experience stress-free. I stayed here for work, and they were truly awesome, even offering a free shuttle to Center City every 15 minutes, which made exploring Philadelphia convenient. Overall, it’s a great spot to rest and discover the city’s attractions. Highly recommended! ❤️”

“I loved loved loved my stay. From the front desk help to the bedrooms to the coffee. Sean at the front desk was extremely gracious and never showed any signs of me bothering him when I had 100 questions. He just answered me and showed me how to. I will add that the kitchen needs to be stacked with paper towel and the pool has no towels and needs them. Sean helped me with it all. I would definitely recommend this hotel bc of the service!”
“I stayed at The Maj Hotel from October 13 to Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The hotel was spotless and the service was excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful, guiding me to get good local food in the area. I was able to get an early check-in with no issue. My room was very nice and open. The location made jt easy to get to everywhere I needed to go in the city. The bed was the most comfortable I'd been in at a hotel for a long time. I would strongly recommend the MAJ to anyone coming to Philly.”

“Anytime I visit Philadelphia. This will be my hotel!! Extremely close to Center City. The room is extremely clean and extremely comfortable. Internet works like a charm!! Everything I need and expected was available and more!! Shout out to the staff of Holiday Inn (Penns Landing)!!”
“I had a fantastic stay at Club Quarters Rittenhouse Square! The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Philadelphia, with restaurants, shops, and the park just steps away. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and the check-in process was quick and easy. I also loved the modern touches throughout the hotel, which made the whole experience feel convenient and stress-free.
If you’re visiting Philly and want a hotel that combines comfort, location, and great service, I highly recommend Club Quarters Rittenhouse Square. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip!”

“Very old and dated, but clean. Its on a very busy street with bars so it was loud until the wee hours and I guess the windows aren't thick because we heard everything”

“Location is perfect to the airport, hotel has direct walking access to Terminal B on Floor 2! Parking direction is a bit confusing but managed to find it. Parking lot has direct access through a walking bridge to Floor 3. The executive lounge location is a bit interesting, which is behind the restaurant. Room is adequate with no complaint”
“We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. I want to mention the bell hop “Sage” who helped us with our bags at check in and check out was great! He was so helpful with giving recommendations and was very patient , polite, and went above and beyond making us comfortable. The valet parking was very slow. Over an hour wait and I actually had to walk 2 blocks to get my own car. Rooms were nice but slow drain in bathtub and broken lamp in room. Overall it was a nice place to stay.”
“This was a great hotel. The staff was friendly to the point of when our Lyft driver left a suitcase on the curb, taking us to a different hotel (had to change for work reasons) The valet noticed it and went and pulled it so that no one would steal it. The room was clean and we enjoyed being on the top floor to be able to look out over the city. The only complaint I could possibly give would be that the free included breakfast is a bit redundant with the same food every single day and the free snacks that they have during happy hour is just some slices of bread and hard cheddar cheese cubes. It would be nice for them to have had a little bit more variety because of your lactose intolerant then there’s no snack for you. But it’s really hard to knock them. Any stars, considering both of those were free or included in the price so it feels wrong to judge them on free amenities that a lot of hotels don’t give anymore. But if they could have some variety to the breakfast in the snack for happy hour, then they would be much closer to perfect. Great location it’s a couple of blocks to the City Hall area, which is the hub of the city and you can get almost anywhere in the five minutes unless you really wanna go to the outer edges of the city. They do not have an airport shuttle, but most hotels in downtown do not seem to offer that. Would be a nice service for sure”

“Overall nice stay. The hotel is nice and updated. The lobby is super trendy. The M lounge is decent nothing too special. Only complaint is my sheets had some hair on them so I asked for them to be changed and instead they just left a set of clean linens on top of the dirty ones for me to change myself when I got back to my room at 12 am which I didn't feel like doing. Health club is very nice. I'd stay again”

“Nice hotel. The rooms are clean and havw a rather big bathroom. Each room has a mini fridge. The rooms are small but thats what we booked. The staff is very friendly and gave us good advice on what to do and where to eat. There is a cafe and a rooftop bar in the hotel itself.”
“I very much appreciate their Level 2 Electric Car Chargers. I live in the Delaware Valley and when in DelCo and passing by I visit there sometimes after taking an elderly friend to the grocery store. There is a Tesla and a J-1772 chargers available for guests or residents needing a charge.”

“One of the bartenders, Anthony, is the single reason that I only stay at Marriots on both of my personal and business travels! His customer service is second to none!!”
“Excellent location in Old City, people are genuinely nice, Independence Visitors Center is right around the corner. Cuba Libre, Blue Martini, Browny's bars and restaurants like Fork, Zahav, Museum of American Revolution, Effreit Alley, Franklin Fountain, full of history.”
“Stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and it was the best location, clean room and looked as advertised. I booked via Airbnb and it was a smooth stay.”
“A great place to stay when in Philly. Very nice accommodations with access to dining and conveniently located in downtown Philly. A great business center to office from while lodging and the building has a lot of history.”
“The hotel is close to great restaurants, say on and off of the highway. Staff was very helpful and nice. Room and bed were nice and comfortable. Great value!”
“This post is for the sweet angel working at 1am on Saturday, May 2nd. I believe her name was Karen, but I really can't remember since I was pretty sick so I am so sorry if I am incorrect. She had very long white hair and was so sweet and thoughtful when I was suffering with a migraine. I was up all night with a horrible headache getting sick but had no ice pack/aleve/excedrin/anything. I called to the front around 1am seeking any relief I could find and Karen helped me with what I needed and I was finally able to sleep. It was just so nice being met with kindness and assistance when so many people can be miserable and mean. Thank you so much once again, you were such a sweetheart and I hope that you get recognized for it.”
