“I had such a great experience here today. The gentleman who helped me was extremely kind and took his time explaining everything without ever making me feel rushed.
I came in with pretty basic questions about how I could improve my dad’s old bike, and he gave me genuinely helpful advice about what was actually worth upgrading. I ended up getting new tires, and the entire process was incredibly easy and fast. The price was also very reasonable.
What stood out the most was the customer service. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel comfortable, especially for someone who does not know a ton about bikes.
I honestly could not recommend this place more. I left really happy with the experience and will absolutely be coming back whenever I need anything for my bike”
“Robin was great in explaining to me exactly what the potential bike repairs were for and all the options if I wanted to upgrade. The repairs were done in an hour and it looks as good as new. I will definitely come here again!

“I never knew JCBC was even existed until I had a problem with a flat tire on my bike. My experience was just unbelievable. They were attentive helpful and fast. The price was so reasonable I confirmed it three times. This is a super professional and local run business with a great vibe.
I road over with my wife to have her seat adjusted because I was so impressed and Chris the owner remembered me and did it for free. These guys are keepers and to make things even better they just opened a flower shop across the way from the bike store.

Very good selection of high-end, high quality e-bikes and cargo bikes. People seem to know what they do and only carry good stuff. Of course comes with a price but that's pretty normal.
If you buy from them, beware their inventory might be inaccurate. I bought a $4k bike there, I pulled the trigger on that because I was told the bike was in stock locally and I could get it assembled promptly, and, as a very demanded brand, the bike might not stay in stock long.
10 days after, looking forward to pick-up my bike who was supposed to only have to be assembled, I discover it's not there and still need to ship from the maker. Bottom line: wait three more weeks. I would have never pulled the trigger on that purchase that fast honestly...
Who to blame? Officially, the inventory system isat fault. Doesn't matter much honestly, that's just not reliable regardless of where the mistake - be aware of that if you buy on stock info.
What next? Well, I'd hope a commercial gesture as this is really a poor customer experience but mostly, I wait for my bike.

couple days after the bad news, someone from Propel called me to try to find solutions to solve my issue. Offering a discount or a loaner bike (which nobody initially thought about, even not me). I took them on the proposal of a loaner bike of course, as it's really
what mattered to me: to be able to replace 1h of public transportation with my kid in 15' bike ride to go to school and then to work. Thanks guys!

“I had a fantastic experience with Edgar at Trek Bicycle Stuyvesant Town. I brought my bike in with an annoying creak coming from the bottom bracket, and he quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue with precision and care.
On top of that, he tuned my drivetrain to perfection—it’s now running whisper quiet with incredibly clean, sharp gear changes. The bike honestly feels better than it has in a long time.
Edgar clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows in the results. Highly recommend him if you want your bike dialed in right the first time.”
“I got a Pro Fit with Pete today. Very knowledgeable dude, and easy to work with. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Got my cleats positioned first, then seat height and lateral position, and we finished with the handle bar and hood position. I shot up to Prospect Park for a few laps when we were done and the ride was night and day different. I felt so locked in and comfortable! Pete really knows what he is doing, and very quickly got me more comfortable than I ever would have by myself. There was no pressure to buy anything either. Highly recommend this service.”

If I could give this place 15 stars, I would.
I absolutely love Tony’s Bicycles and the owner. I’ve taken my bike here multiple times for everything — tune-ups, repairs, small fixes — and the experience is consistently excellent.
Compared to the shops I used in Manhattan and Brooklyn (even the UES spots I thought would be “top tier”), Tony’s is faster, more reliable, and they use OEM parts when possible without needing to be asked. They’ll often fix little things for free, like straightening bent handlebars or replacing end caps, just because they care.
What’s even better is you don’t always have to explain what’s wrong — they’ll often spot issues before they become problems. Last summer, Tony warned me that part of my chain was warped. Fast forward a year, my derailleur snapped — exactly what he warned could happen. They replaced it all and had me back on the road in no time.
If you’re ever unhappy with something, just ask to speak to Tony directly. He genuinely wants to make things right.
Also, keep in mind that not everyone there speaks English as a first language. What might sound blunt or rushed is a PROFESSIONAL trying to assure you they have everything under control in their best English.
I’m honestly shocked to see any poor reviews. This is a local gem. I’ll keep coming back again and again.”
