“Really weird traffic patterns between the services of gas wash and store, including no apparent rules of the road but at least nobody seems to obey them if they do exist. It's weird but it works. The wash is quite good. They definitely have it organized to move a lot of traffic through in a short amount of time. The store has very good products and services including coffee that is made freshly ground every cup. Gas prices are generally competitive but with a membership and paying on a card they are unbeatable by why margin even at Costco.”
“This building is under new ownership. Met the owner today. Ordered a ham sub. It was the best sub I've had since I've been in Rochester. Truly. It's was like how my grandmother used to make them when i was a kid. I take my little nephew here to go shopping. The store is small enough that i can watch him the whole time. He loves being able to take the grocery list and fill the cart. If your sick of all the big chain store cold reception. Shop here to get back that dearly rare mom and pop local store feel.”
“Food is fantastic, plenty of reviews will agree. I get kabob once a week at least and it's awesome and isn't a greasy mess.But what I love is that on one end of Merchants is a 7/11 with high prices, boring options and unhealthy prepared food. At Henry's, it's a friendly crew, a wide variety of LOCAL options for snacks and drinks, along with name brands, and very reasonable prices.A true community store that is actually part of the neighborhood, rather than a big corporate chain like 7/11. Can't buy that.Well worth the walk up Merchants.”

“Love that most weekdays they still offer full service gas here. Recently had a leg issue and have been on crutches. So getting out and back in the truck to pump gas was kind of a PITA. Stopping here and being able to just hand my card to the guy made life a little easier. I see a lot of seniors using the service too.”
“I bike there all the time, its just a straight mile down from my house. And let me tell you, it is the best customer service i have ever seen and experienced. The cashiers are friendly, and a couple of times i have accidentally not had enough money for my stuff, but he has let me go out without it, and of course i give him the money i DO Have. The owner is super nice, and always smiles to me before i walk out, and the cashiers there inculding the boss, are like distant friends, who arent FRIENDs, but they recognize me and call me bro and stuff. Best service in town, this world needs more people like the people who work here.”

“Their front door was closed and the open neon sign was turned off so I figured they were closed but a nice Spanish guy pointed me to the side entrance (window up the few stairs) that usually has the Botanica sign in front of it. “It's been three years, the last chicken wing I ate. I acquired it in this establishment leaving work on a Friday, sad friday .When I tasted the first chicken wing the taste was disappointing, but I was hungry, very hungry. So I did not mind the disappointment; I continued to eat the second chicken wings. The taste was that of rotten meat; That was my last money until the next check. But I did not have any money left for the cat's food, the cat. My eyes filled with uncontainable tears. I ate everything, everything. I cried while devouring those bad chicken wings, on that sad Friday while thinking about my hungry cat. When I got home spontaneously I vomited, my stomach rejected that putrefaction that I had sadly engulfed, sadness. Three days passed before my discomfort subsided; I had to let the cat out. The cat was two years and five months old, had never been outside before, ever. Since then I do not eat meat of any kind, this establishment ruined my taste for meat. And I never saw the cat again.”

“I had a script to pick up. Normally I get them by mail but I had one my doctor wanted me to start now. Store is always clean, of course no tp which is standard nowadays. Very few customers and all had their masks on an stayed far apart. Clerk up front, because I had to buy candy and milk, was very cheerful.Reason for the 4 is l have an unusual insurance. Last time I got a script there was after they changed from Rite Aid to Walgreens. All records from before the takeover were gone so the very nice pharmacist called my new Rite Aid to find the form he needed. He even said the form was on my file so there wouldn't be any issues next time. He wasn't there this time and an unfriendly woman behind the pharmacy counter asked for my card, which I gave her only to have her push it back saying that's not the right thing. I told her it was the correct card and last time the pharmacist had found the form and said it was in my records. There was silence and she just said "OK it's $1.92". I handed her the money and she gave me my change and went right on to the next customer before I could even get my gloved handful of change and my script picked up and say thank you! She was just rude. The pharmacist saw me struggling with my full hands and glove and smiled and made a joke about how clumsy the gloves were which I agreed with. She was nice. Unfortunately it only takes one person to make things bad.”

“I work in the immediate area doing tons of residential Remodeling and house flips. I have been coming to this corner store for literally over 20 years. Mind you it is your typical City Corner Store. It doesn't have clean floors everything's messy. But at the same time drinks are very cheap. Chips and snacks are very cheap. And they usually have a decent variety. And I've even tried out some of their Fried Chicken. It was absolutely delicious. I definitely will continue coming here for years to come”
“You guys came through for me today- thank you! I had called Special Touch Bakery today to pick up 12 pies for the holiday (yes, last minute!). They told me I was too late, but to check out Dells.Dells had plenty of options in stock and the staff could not have been nicer- the amazing woman at the front even helped me carry them out. “The cashier was friendly and directed me to the restroom when I asked about it. Their prices are competitive for the area. Though the roads on both entrances are currently undergoing construction, more people prefer to get gas here compared to the other one across the street. It's relatively clean inside and out. A good place just to stop and pick up an Arizona or something.”

I must say, they have incredibly delicious Ukrainian dumplings and waffle ice cream sandwiches. The cashier, a young lady, is also very friendly and welcoming.However, I need to mention that before visiting the store, we had read some reviews mentioning expired products, and unfortunately, this was indeed the case. We were extra cautious when choosing our items and decided not to purchase some things we initially wanted.Overall, I would recommend this store, but please exercise caution when selecting items and check the production dates.”

“Walked in to inquire about U-Haul rental- I think I had gotten the most friendliest and real honest service I have ever received in Rochester. I was greeted with great energy and smiles and I respect that has been missing in service for years. You know it was legit cuz they did it without effort nor script.I will give you a heads up that they're convenient store only has a few snacks and 20 oz drinks. But the smell of the barbecue was amazing!! I can't put my finger on it but there is something very special about this seemingly haphazard business that makes sense a priority in patroning.You know you had great service when you walk out the door and you have that stupid grin stuff on your face anyone want to buy something just because.”
“Went to get some heavy cream for a recipe. The aroma coming from the deli was so amazing I had to get a sub. The bread was so fresh and they made the tuna salad right in front of me. The gentleman in front of me got a chicken salad sub and OMG it was the freshest chicken salad...not the canned stuff you get at chain shops. The girl behind the counter was stretching out pizza dough for the pizzas. I was pleasantly suprised at how fresh the food was and how friendly the staff was. I never thought this would be my go to place for lunch...but it is now. New owners have really made some wonderful changes. Thank you!”

“I brought my car here to the Penfield store to get the inside cleaned. It wasn't that dirty, but cleaning what needed it and vacuuming everything was more than I wanted to do. For $35, it was well worth it!! Thank you, guys!”

“I was happy to find the CVS in Brighton open today but it is a 24 hour store. I needed some things and I got what I was out of but I wanted to stock up on water too but they were out of the brand I wanted to buy. I haven’t shopped at CVS in a long time because I use the closest pharmacy and CVS is not my closest pharmacy. I needed to update my email and was able to catch the notification for it this time. The young lady at the counter helped me, she entered my new email in the system.”
