“I live in Boone and though we have art stores here, they don't carry some things that are needed for book binding. Everything purchased from Talas has been great quality at a fair and reasonable price.”

“We celebrated our daughter's 8th birthday here and the party was such a success! Everyone had a blast and we felt like the staff were very friendly helpful patient and available to all the kids. This is a great place to have a creative artistic birthday for the kids and to just paint in general. The place is full of so much creativity and the owner was very nice. It was a pleasant experience. Just coming in to paint is also an option for artists and there's a store inside that is full of unique creative stuff that kids will love.”

“Artist & Craftsman store for years— I’ve been so happy to find that the Williamsburg location offers the same level of warmth and kind customer service! Taylor and Abdiel helped me find some leather paints this week, Bryn and another associate (whose name is escaping me, sorry) helped me with spray paint/acrylics recently as well. Everyone was so patient and they never make me feel annoying for asking advice about the products. I will keep coming back, because the experience reminds me of home :) also the music always slaps. 10/10”

“Lovee Artist and Craftsman! This location reminds me of the location that was once in my old neighborhood (R.I.P Bridgeport location) it has the same vibe. Pleaseee stock more stationery/stickers similar to the brand you already have (Suatelier)! Staff is nice and you can find literally everything for reasonable prices here :)”

“Jeffrey, the owner has always been very hands on. The craftsmanship is great and I will continue doing more business with Barronarts LLC. Thank you for the amazing tondo stretchers (and stretching the canvas as well!). I love them.”

“Emergency situation - art show opens in 5 hours but my glass frame cracked. My budget is limited and timing is tight. Ralph and team at KC arts was nearby so I ran to them ASAP. they not only fixed it in less than 2 hours but they worked with my budget too. the art print is ona float mount so there are foam board spacers they have to break and replace while keeping the wood frame intact - not easy. They really saved the day and I'm super pleased with the quality. Thanks Ralph and KC team!”

“An additional 4 more...on top of the 7.Just picked up another 7 True Stretchers from Simon, extra thick L-sides and thicker rails widths. These are Excellent and so well made and strong as ever. I prepare my own RAW linen; but Simon can do this as well, and is Master craftsman.Simon's stretchers are perfect, just to be clear they close perfectly tight, and once stretched canvas is attached, the keying out allows for perfect control of the canvas weave, as warp and weft expand differently. to have that control is so important.his keys provided always fit perfectly, the cross bars if any are wonderful. he even makes foldable stretchers to get into smaller elevators and trucks. for both the beginner and expert.Hi. Some additional comments. The first photo I added might be confusing...but really it shows that the stretcher can be adjusted to fit an exact size of the canvas edge. Say an artist makes a design and the edges are very important to line up to exact size.A real expandable stretcher can be adjusted to fit perfectly. Simon's company has been making stretcher for me since 1992 I think. He can do anything...he can make strainers (but why would an artist use an strainer? Stretchers are so far superior and don't cost much...Simon is Not Expensive. They are perfect worth much more that he charges.A person can make their own .... stretcher and even real stretchers ...but it will likely cost more than anything Simon makes.Remember true stretchers expand and adjust in many ways...just as every piece of canvas expands in different ways. I have stretched and attached 10's of thousands of canvases to wooden supports. I have a good idea what is well made. ... Simon's.”

“I was struggling to find a replacement for Frame Me after it closed and was lucky to stop in here. These guys couldn't be nicer. John framed an old map print and photo for me. Both are awesome work and were very reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back.”

“I had two pieces of artwork shipped cross country to Oregon (pictured in the photo.) One has a hand-carved wooden frame and the other had glass within the picture frame. Both arrived completely intact as you can see. Cannot recommend them more highly!”

“I've tried almost every tube and they're all good. But some have more pigmentation than any paint I've ever owned and I've tried most brands. Also, several have a unique texture that you won't find in other brands.”

“If your looking for a great local art store, Apple art is perfect! However if your a pratt student looking for cheap supplies you should be a little more cautious. Prices vary wildly in comparison to Blick art supplies. Holbien Gouache, for example, is much cheaper at Apple art, but Apple art often will more expensive basics like charcoal pencils. Overall I try to shop more at Apple art because supporting local businesses is a good thing, and often the price difference isn't enough to justify one over the other.”

“Picked up my 6 paintings today. The framing is more beautiful than I could imagine.I brought the art in a few weeks ago and Linda helped me choose framing and matting. My first instruction...inexpensive! She spent about 1 hr helping me choose 6 frames. (There were frames that I would have loved, stunning, just could not afford.)I would go back to Jacobson's in a heartbeat and I highly recommend!!!”

“Beautiful store on Smith St. near Pacific St., Downtown Brooklyn. I haven't shopped here much but every time I go in the staff is pleasant and helpful. Recently visited because I needed a new date planner and could not find one in Barnes and Noble nearby.”

“They did a great job at framing some picture art that i bought online, and they look wonderful on the boxed frames Michael's put them on. They explained where they needed to cut or fold, and everything came out beautiful. Thank you so much, Michael's.”
