“My fav type of craft shop; hold the frills, has all the goods w/ crafty community members at the counter who are excited to help u bring your project to fruition. Will be returning! Got my eye on the little origami kits at least hehe look so fun”
“My favorite board game store in the city! The play space is a bit small but it's manageable. The staff is top notch and the community is simply amazing!
They have most if not all of the popular board games as well as a selection of minis and paint supplies. They also have a good selection of rpg material and supplies!
If ever you find yourself close by, I highly recommend a quick browse!”
“I've been to this store twice now. Both occasions were really pleasant and I would definitely recommend coming here. The first time I was there I went with my toddler and the employees helped me both in and out of the store with my huge stroller. I go every where with my son and rarely ever do employees help out with the door. Not that I need the help but it is a pain to get the stroller up over a step and through a door especially with groceries in it. It was really nice of them and I appreciated it. It is not something you see in many other stores. The second time I went with my son and wife, I'm not sure if they remembered me and my son. But they were really nice and interacting with him, helped him pick out a pack and gave him a small toy for free. I thought it was really nice and reminded me of what stores in this neighborhood were like back when I was a kid.”
“Awesome store! Hosts a lot of community events, and has a great collection of board games-- helped me pick a copy of something I was missing day-of. Staff was super friendly.”
“Brooklyn Hobbies offers a fantastic selection of RC-related products and accessories. Their staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer any questions you may have. They even have a full-sized mini RC track in the basement, where you can test out your new purchases. Richard, is a great resource and will guide you through the process of selecting the perfect RC for your needs. I’m thrilled to have a brick-and-mortar RC Hobby store in our neighborhood. Keep up the excellent work Guys!”
“Great people, great selection, great prices. The care and consideration I got from this place was amazing and blows other places out of the park. There is also an amazing community here where everyone is just willing to help at all times. Also very close to the train and has great food options nearby.”
“The greeters were pleasant. The young lady behind the counter was extremely helpful. She came and helped me look for what I was needing, and then helped me at the register.”
“Found some vintage coins and magazines and inside there was an advertisement of BG with addresses ,curiosity did GOOGLE search and found out you guys are still in buisness, something telling me to go and visit, get appraisal of my coins maybe I’m lucky”
“Beautiful craft store, they have a wide selection of yarns types and colors. This is my favorite local yarn store! I have many hobbies and they covered all of them. ❤️
The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have ribbons, yarns, knitting needles, embroidery supplies, sewing patterns and fabrics, I just love this store.”
“Visited Michael's for the first time after learning how to knit. They did have a plethora of yarns—various weights and yardage, but many of the average lengths of the yarns I seen were polyester, acrylic and not many more natural yarns like cotton or wool. I was hoping to find the more natural stuff in a larger size(or longer length) than the palm-size cotton bounds. I did buy two fuzzy yarns for another scarf for a friend though.
Overall, it was cool to be there. Just wanted more natural stuff. Understandably it may be more expensive.”
“Love looking through this treasure trove. Lots of fun stuff, I just wish they had a bigger bead selection because they are a craft store! Most of it is at a good price as well.”
“Visited the shop to look for gundam cards and the shop owner is a very honest man. He loves the trading card game and wants people to play. There was a tournament going on when I visited and it is a narrow store so there wasn't much room to move when it got crowded.
Definitely pay in cash if you can. I found the set I needed at a reasonable price, and my friend with me was also able to buy what she wanted.
I would definitely visit again when im in the neighborhood, even if its just to browse the rest of the store!”

“This place is getting review bombed on Amazon for selling resealed product- they had to resend due to it being open. I will update if my 2nd order is open or not as I will go through amazon for refund. UPDATE: okay so the second order came through and all was well!! the UPC was in good condition and sealed-although the seal was a little weird lol. Ultimately pretty satisfied.”
“the most special little pocket of a craft store i had ever hoped to find. forget michael's, artist & craftsman supply has an immense variety of what you need to make art, and you'll be supporting small business! i went in just for some spools of embroidery thread, and not only did they have a huge spectrum of colors, but i must have left with two armfuls of craft supplies - as someone who loves to always be creating new things, that's how i know I'll be coming back forever!!”
