“Was referred here by a friend who orders his thanksgiving turkey from Marlow & Daughters every year and swears by them. I thought I’d give it a shot and ordered a 13lbs turkey for our Friendsgiving last week and safe to say it was the juiciest most delicious turkey I’ve ever had!! Every one of our guests said the same, no one’s ever had a turkey that good. I thought 11$ a pound was a bit pricey but boy was it worth it. No wonder I’ve never really been a fan of roasted turkey, I was eating tasteless supermarket turkey. 100% recommend, I’m sure ALL their meats are locally sourced and top quality”

“I really want to like this place, but this is the third time I’ve gone in and simply walked out after being inside for over 10 minutes. Likely won’t be returning.
There’s very little clarity around line management, and very little effort by staff to direct. After standing with a smile for several minutes and making eye contact with staff, only to have them engage other customers and ignore me. I decided to just leave and not come back.
UPDATE 3/30/26 - after the business responded, I decided to give them another shot. Maybe I was just going in on off days before, because the last few times I’ve gone have been a wonderful experience. They have stellar product as always and their line management is much more attentive; I haven’t felt ignored since.”

“The food is excellent. The service can be spotty and it has nothing to do with being Polish or not, they’re just like that. There’s one particular guy that always seems to have an attitude but it just cracks me up cuz it’s usually between him and my mother and my mother is completely oblivious to it. There’s usually a line, but it moves quick. Not sure how to order or what to get? You can just say things like “I need kielbasa for the grill” and they’ll get you what you need. Definitely recommend over any packaged Polish stuff you’ll find in other supermarkets.”
“Traveling to Brooklyn to visit my favorite butchers has been one of the highlights of my NYC trips. Lou and Joe are walking saints and scholars to their community. They got 90% of what you need for the week of only high-quality products and a well-chosen inventory. The eggs are fresh and the butter is real. Our food always comes out better when we shop here. “This is by all means an excellent store. It's very cheap, some things are just so cheap I cannot find such prices anywhere else, for example fresh salmon which is almost always on sale. The products are good. There are almost no lines especially in the mornings when I usually shop, except closer to Shabbos like Thursday evening when there are some lines which is understandable.”

The quality is unmatched but what really sets Meathook apart is the care that goes into everything they make.
I really love the pastrami & the house ham. My husband is a huge fan of the oxtail (so am I). The short ribs are incredible & the variety of house made sausages is unlike anywhere else.
The staff deserves just as much credit. Every single person who works here has their own personality & they're all genuinely kind & knowledgeable.
It truly is a joy to have Meathook in the neighborhood. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into what you do every single day. It doesn't go unnoticed. You make the neighborhood better & you make the food on my table better.

The meats that they have in display and what you can order just always looks the freshest right away when you walk it you are greeted by the best workers who are there devoted and willing to help you they will assist you with whatever you need to make sure you go home with what you want picking up the best piece of meat for you knowing that your barbecue your dinners your shabbos will be the way you like it you will always have something to show for your guests always the freshest of the fresh while you're shopping for your meat you can even pick up a sauce or two for your marinade you can speak to the workers for recipes they will always gladly help you with what you're cooking.

“Extremely happy with my experience with Melinda’s meat Market and the staff. I felt like family during the process of placing my order. I don’t usually go to real butchers so I was nervous. I truly felt like I was getting a celebrity consultation. They asked what I like , my style of cooking , my intentions (which was 5 day meal prep of 3 meals a day ) weight , cuts and I got the most perfect put together box of meat ever. Good people , even better quality products. Will only get my meat here and I spent less than I would at stop n shop or ShopRite. Can’t beat the personalized experience , I can’t wait for next weeks meal prep order !! Also it was so clean and trimmed , it took all the hard prep work out of the way for me and none of the mess , great for busy people and families , or cooking for 1.
