1448 Hertel Ave, BuffaloI called this place in a panic bc of Google search and rose answered the phone. She has the sweetest voice. I had just come across a lost dog and was looking for help on what to do. She checked for a chip, took pictures, called around , shared post, checked Francis out and made sure he was going to be fed and secure on his journey back to his owner. Truly a life saver and friendly person that owns the title city of goodneighbors! Thank you so much and truly the shop is a gem and has way way more than I expected will be back for sure! Buffalo Pet Supply
1345 Military Rd, BuffaloI purchased three male gerbils here a few months ago. Very healthy, I haven’t had any health nor territorial issues so far. The establishment was clean and their cage was a perfect size and bedding depth for the species.I have not been able to socialize them beyond simple back touches, but that’s not a fault of the pet store. Sometimes desert rodents just dislike humans. ?

PetSmart
2101 Elmwood Ave, BuffaloLoved my experience here. Not only is it my typical place where I shop for toys and food for my American bully, it is where I took him to get groomed for the first time. Everyone says not to take your dog to a chain when it comes to grooming, but they were so great with him And truly loved him. And patient as he is a rescue and it was his first time! They said they almost didn't call me to pick him up because they liked him so much Lol. They were not shy to recommend some training Classes either which I thought was very transparent and kind of them- he does need some refinement now that he's in his forever home! Rex was super clean and super happy upon pick up and price is extremely fair. We will be returning.

Animal Outfitters, Inc.
500 Seneca St Suite #150, BuffaloMy dog oliver has been going here since he was a pup. A pure bred boxer full of energy and zoomies. Omar, mark, and the whole crew are THEE BEST. Oliver runs excited on the days he goes to daycare and it makes me feel so much more comfortable sending him there. Oliver is very loved there and cuddles with all the other dogs and the whole crew. Constantly picking him up when he is sleeping on a crew members lap. He is exhausted when we get home from work/daycare and it makes my day so much easier. I would recommend animal outfitters to anyone!

Pawprints By Penny & Co. LLC
1245 Niagara St, BuffaloOur dog Ozzie has been coming here for daycare for years and we absolutely loved it. Recently, my office moved so we tried sending ozzie to a new daycare that was closer to home and safe to say we will be spending the extra commute to bring him back to Pawprints by Penny. It's apparent how much the staff genuinely love the dogs and how well they care for them compared to other daycares. Ozzie is always excited when we get there in the morning and exhausted and happy when we pick him up. This is a great place to bring your dog for some exercise and socialization during the day and I 100% trust them and feel comfortable sending my dog here!

Amherst Small Animal Hospital
2217 Kensington Ave, BuffaloI am so happy with ASAH! Dr. Stein and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and kind. I am a nurse practitioner and I am very picky about my dogs care. I have been to 4 different veterinary clinics in both Amherst and the southtowns trying to find a good fit. I have found it! My dog, Hazel, got an ovary sparing spay and also her umbilical hernia fixed. I was able to see the OR which is immaculate. The surgery went very well and Hazel showed no signs of pain. She healed up very nicely. I will be transferring her care and my cats care to Dr. Stein. In my years as an animal lover I have never been able to find a vet who was consistent and took their time with me and my animals…rest assured I have found this in ASAH!

K9 Connection
484 Niagara St, BuffaloI can’t express enough thanks to the trainers and staff of K9 Connection! My pup Olive went through their board and train program. She has learned so much and I get compliments every where I go with her on how well behaved she is. Kim, her trainer, was so patient and loving with the shy pup she met. Olive left with confidence and manners. She is a proper K9 citizen who is eager to try new adventures! I will be sending Olive to their enrichment program as well. I highly recommend K9 Connection!! At 7 months old Olive has a firm grip on basic commands and obedience. I wanted the best for her, that’s why I chose K9 Connection!

The Family Companion
575 Ayer Rd, BuffaloI recently had the pleasure of taking the Family Companion class with Marcia and Gary and I can not say enough awesome things about the program they run. I love that they use positive reinforcement with treats and praise rather than the shock collar training I saw many other places use. With just this 7-week class alone my dog is able to know basic commands from sit, down, stay, come etc. We are excited for the Canine Good Citizens Training program coming up next and the summer walks that Gary has planned!! Cannot thank you all enough!!

He makes himself available to his clients at all times and has specific suggestions that prove to be extremely helpful. He is the consummate professional yet he developed a very personal relationship with my dog. She was always excited to see him and responded very well to the positive reinforcement he uses in his training. As the dog owner, he made me understand the importance of my role in her training and was very patient with both of us. His commitment to dog training was evident in each session I am thrilled we had the opportunity to work with him and highly recommend his services to anyone looking for an experienced dog trainer. The Merry Shelley
1122 Hertel Ave, BuffaloBy far one of the coolest bars in Buffalo! I've been wanting to stop by for awhile and was thrilled to finally be in the area and have some free time. I was pleased to find a tiny gothic literary themed spot with amazing and interesting drinks. You might have to be patient when ordering or getting a seat but it's well worth the it. This spot is decorated to the nines with Halloween-ish, gothic, spooky stuff and it's fun to check it all out. We tried the tepache which was alcohol made from a fermented pineapple and the watchdog cocktail. The tepache was super interesting and new to us. Was very sweet and pineapple-y. The watchdog was perfect for a cold dark night. It warmed me up and had hints of orange. Lots of neat and different kinds of drinks here and some bar snacks as well if you are hungry. Bartender was friendly and helpful with menu questions. They also serve absinthe and it's fun to watch them put it together. I also learned that this place serves as a community library. There are books all over and you are welcome to take or borrow some to read. They also make it clear they are LGBTQ+ friendly so all are welcome to come and enjoy.

Molly, Kate, and Casey were very accommodating. The food and how it was all prepared...omg... genius with the ingredients. Every attention to detail! I mean, when the whipped cream on the creme brule is infused with lemon, grapefruit, and vermouth... who does that? This place is special on our list!

Buffalo Animal Shelter
380 Oak St, BuffaloThe City of Buffalo Animal Shelter is an amazing organization that does so many things both publicly and behind the scenes to save as many dogs and cats as possible in the City of Buffalo. It is a municipal organization that lacks a lot of funding, but the people who both work and volunteer there care so deeply for the animals and are truly a lifeline for so many abused and abandoned creatures that would be euthanized in any other city. I’ve adopted all of my dogs and cats from here and they’ve been the best pets I’ve ever owned. The shelter is extremely understaffed and relies on volunteers to help take care of the animals, so please be patient and keep in mind that everyone here is doing their best with what they have to work with. If you’re interested in an animal your best bet is to go down there in person as the shelter does not have the staff to be able to answer phones. Trust me, the extra effort is so worth it to save a precious animals life and find your new best friend! #AdoptDontShop! ❤️
