“You can buy authentic Italian bread and baguettes here. The vegetables and fruits are slightly more expensive than Huachao, but the quality is high. I'll go once a week or two. My favorite is to go to the pond in nearby Bowne Park and grab some bread to feed the wild ducks.”

“We landed here after searching for vegan Taiwanese herbal gummy candy. They have that and so much more, including frozen and refrigerated goods, tea, beverages, baking and cooking ingredients, sauces and seasoning, snacks, instant noodles... We were especially excited to find healthy options like low sugar and salt snacks. There is also another vegetarian shop with mostly frozen options (called Veggie MaMa) in the same building. It's a convenient location if you have a car, but the Q25 bus also stops here.”

“Fantastic place to get sandwiches. On my 3rd trip to New York with my wife, we stayed at an Airbnb near American Flag Deli & Grocery. We were excited to try the food and we were incredibly surprised by how delicious the sandwiches were. Great prices too. And in New York, there's plenty that's higher in price and lacking in taste. We tried 2 sandwiches from a bar owned by a comedian and the sandwiches there were flavorless and dry (respectfully) in comparison. I hope to eat more of the sandwiches again.”

“I heard this is the first H Mart to exist, not sure if that is true. It is a very small store but I was able to find everything I was looking for just like the big H Mart store and it much closer to me. The only downside for me is parking, hard to find parking since it right by the 61st Woodside 7 subway.”
“Wonder has been one of our most consistent go-tos. Pickup is usually easy, the system works, the space is clean, and the food has honestly surprised me from day one. When they first opened, it felt like every order was dialed in, like the kitchen cared.
I’ve tried a ton of the menu and there are staples I keep coming back to: the salmon is always generously portioned and perfectly cooked, the sauces and capers are on point, and the broccolini is genuinely one of the best sides I’ve had anywhere - that char + acidity goes with everything. Even the simple stuff like fries and potatoes hit when they’re done right.
That’s why I’m leaving this review: lately I’ve had a stretch of 5-6 orders with small misses that didn’t used to happen - missing toppings, uneven pizzas, a pizza with a huge bubble, broccolini missing the lemon dressing, stuff like that. Not enough to stop ordering, but enough that it makes me stick to the “safe” items instead of exploring.
Still a big fan, still ordering regularly, just hoping the consistency snaps back to how it was because Wonder at its best is hard to beat.”

“I live out of state from New York. In August, I ordered something online, and it was extremely hot where I live. The staff thoughtfully added ice packs and wrapped my order with great care. After three days in UPS transit, I finally received the package. However, when I opened it, I noticed an unusual smell and wasn’t sure if the food was still safe to eat.
I contacted the store to explain what had happened, and to my surprise, they refunded my entire payment—without asking any further questions. I was truly touched, as I didn’t expect them to do that. It clearly wasn’t their fault, but their professionalism and the way they conduct business left a strong impression on me.
I will absolutely return when the weather cools down. Once again, thank you!”

“Its a small store but it is organized and tidy. The meat here is delicious! I got some sliced wagyu beef from the counter, im not sure exactly what marinade it was in but it was so yummy. Im coming back soon! They also have some veggies and prepackaged/frozen meats if you just need a few things or are planning a BBQ day.”
“We try to come to the Ganesha Temple once a month and therefore stop by here every time. Smaller in scale than some of the big Indian stores, but perfect for us (we live on UWS of Manhattan where there are NO Indian stores). Very manageable, accessible store with all the Indian staples and memories of my youth. The gents (only one at a time) behind the counter are friendly and helpful.”

“I’ve been getting Zabiha Halal meat from Tariq Hand Slaughtered Meat since even before HMS/HFSAA certifications were really a thing, and they’ve consistently been one of the best.
I’ve shopped at plenty of other halal meat markets over the years, but the professionalism and quality of the cuts here are on another level. The meat is exceptionally clean, properly hand-slaughtered Zabiha, and always top-notch quality. You can tell there’s real care and experience behind the way everything is prepared.
The experience is just as good as the product. The shop owner is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely funny — you always feel welcomed and taken care of.
When it comes to Zabiha Halal meat, this is one of those places I trust without hesitation. Consistent quality, clean and professional cuts, and excellent service every single time.
If Google let me give them 10 stars, I would. Highly recommend!”
