“i like how vast it is, with designated areas for certain machines/open space to utilize handheld weights and other equipment. i especially love the back room where classes are held, as when they’re not holding classes it’s a great place to do some yoga before jumping into a workout or just stretch with extra privacy. i also think the theatre room is a versatile addition that i like. it’s also helpful having everything there from protein shakes to energy drinks/waters/water fountain to even meal preps and combination locks for the locker room. overall, this is one of the best gym experiences ive had as a bigger woman, usually i feel judged and not openly welcomed in other gym (such as blink fitness or planet fitness — which i’ve had memberships at both places for a time) whereas at retro it feels very welcoming and inviting.”

“Completely changed the shape of my body. I did personal training at equinox for years and I wasn't seeing results. They told me it was the natural shape of my body, I knew it wasn't because of how my body looked for the 27 years before that. Form50 got me back to feeling like myself again. The program is always challenging and there are plenty of ways to modify. I can't believe how knowledgeable each instructor is, you're in great hands with anyone. “I can hardly believe it, I've finally found the perfect workout class studio that also happens to be a woman-owned small business (bonus!). The instructors are fantastic. The classes themselves are low impact so I never feel like I am going to injure myself even though I am working hard. Each workout move in class is given many options to fit all abilities. I've come to trust the workout system they have and know that if I keep sticking with it I'll continue to gain strength and flexibility.
The studio space is gorgeous and so thoughtfully put together. It feels lux and like home at the same time. The staff and the others (mostly women) working out are friendly and this is a place where one could meet friends, or at least create a support circle. It feels nice being recognized by others in class.
As a side note, a Trader Joe's is just steps away, which is a post class highlight for me, as I don't live near one.”

“My home CrossFit gym <3 haven’t been in awhile. My partner and I both go here. Friendly for everybody. A priest, monk, and a rabbi could walk in for a CrossFit class and walk out without any problems- and that’s coming from a catholic and her gay sister {and her partner Shannon who said this place is her family who’s a nurse.} My point is this place is very inclusive for everyone, and is really about including everyone, and I mean everyone everyone. And I’d feel safe bringing family members or even my own kids here. Loved my experience here and it’s very secure. Getting in touch with them can be difficult via phone call but they reach out via text message immediately so it’s well worth the wait. The memberships are up there, but if you’re a full fledged crossfitter, you’d rather by a membership here than anywhere else. I play soccer in New York City, and on Long Island and My partner is a Police officer for the city, as well as family- and a lot of members in this gym are former military or Law enforcement or fire department members who are non-discriminatory and extremely friendly. One of the best experiences I’ve had in awhile. Worth every single dime, and worth the wait. We travel from Long Island to come here, and it’s worth it. Great job guys :) looking forward to come in soon.”
