“Dear Small Town Market Enthusiasts,
I cannot say enough about our Gem in a beautiful Village of Huntington, The Southdown Market! It is a place that provides a special variety of grocery items that are well intentioned provisions with a more health conscious flair! The fruits, vegetables and flowers are always fresh and scrumptious! Most importantly, what makes this market exceptional are the people! Grace is the Manager who “lives in the grasses” with her staff! She works side by side with them to check on every aspect of the market from the deli to the cash registers! She instills customer service all around and each of her staff members are aligned to this tenet of excellent service and patron care!
The catering services are remarkable as well. We just had a Sprinkle Party with 25 guest at our home to celebrate a growing family! Grace assisted in making the best choices for our affair! Our event was spectacular because of the delicious food and its presentation by Grace and her staff!
Thank you Grace and compliments to your team for our beautiful Market in Southdown! It is one of a kind and you feel special as soon as you walk through the doors, whether you are just picking up a staple item like milk or sandwiches or having an event catered, you can always count on the Southdown Market!

“Great place for hard to find items. First time I went in I actually got lost. Sorta. When you go in at a time that's not too busy, it feels a bit haunted. Seriously. It feels haunted. Still a great place to shop. Wish there was one closer to me.”

“Most products are fresh & affordable. However had a bad experience recently where I saw a box of mold strawberries still displayed. I bought 6 boxes of strawberries, the one box I already spotted did not come home with me. However, after I opened the box to start to prep it, that’s when I noticed the mold hiding. I had to take another trip back to the store to return it.”
“My absolute go-to grocery store. This store is laid out in a very sensible manner. Items are easy to find. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. Deli dept is outstanding. Fish is fresh and meat dept. is terrific too. Well stocked and they have very good sales. I drive 15 minutes from Oyster Bay to shop here. Sooooo much better than Stop&Shop.”

“Store is Awsome. I used to deliver to the store out of New Hampshire. It was my favorite stop. Mick and Tina are great people. Every year I would get one of their giant pumpkins. I miss them and hope they are doing well.”
