They have freaking everything from the treats to brushes etc. Even though it’s not large, they probably have more things than even a big box store like PetSmart. We visited here twice more treats that we couldn’t get at home.

5659 Cascade Rd, Lake PlacidCapisce is our new favorite coffee place in Lake Placid. Check this place out. It has our favorite espresso coffee drinks: breves, lattes. The coffee is bold and smooth and the subtle notes of the beans are exactly what I love. The food is very good. And they have good sized seating areas both inside and especially nice one outside that has servers delivering your order to your table. The staff is friendly, helpful and informative. 2 things to note: First, it is a little bit out of downtown but well worth the trip since it is quiet and more spacious. Second: It can be very busy at certain times but that is the case with most of the good coffee bars in Lake Placid.

I had the chicken sandwich and my wife the vegetable farmers sandwich. Both very good. The chicken soup was tasty but could have been a little hotter. The caramel apple drink also well flavored. I would go back.

Food was abundant, very tasty and reasonably priced. There’s only a handful of places I would recommend, as a local, and Big Z’s delivers.

The restaurant was super clean and really easy to get to right from downtown Lake Placid. The food was excellent, and the staff were all super friendly. Our waitress even surprised one of our group with a little birthday cake, which was a really nice touch. Prices were pretty average for this type of place, and overall the experience was great. Definitely would recommend it and would go again!

A New Leaf
2364 Saranac Ave #3377, Lake PlacidThis place is kinda quirky but I love it. The inside looks like an antique shop exploded in the best way—lots of old stuff to look at while you wait. Coffee is good and strong, nothing fancy, just the way I like it.
The real star is the breakfast sandwiches. They make a killer egg sandwich. Simple, fresh, and hits the spot.
Couple things to know: no WiFi, no credit cards (bring cash), and the guy running it might seem gruff at first but he’s actually friendly once you talk to him.
It’s small, a little old-school, but very charming. Feels like one of those places that hasn’t changed in decades, and that’s what makes it great.

Mountain Mist Ice Cream
2241 Saranac Ave, Lake PlacidCame here recently and I am glad i tried it out. They had great customer service and the cashier was nice to talk to and smiley. I bought a slush puppy, a small twist and rocky mountain hard serve. All were deliciouss. I also loved my strawberry toppinggg.
