“Excellent team, excellent customer service, and excellent quality of repair. In the past I have often found shops are fine with releasing less than perfect repairs just to keep cars moving through. That is not the case with Gotham.The team did a great, and thorough, job of not only fixing the damage done by an NYC Sanitation truck but also the subtle work of color matching and blending the panels. When I picked up the car it felt brand new, both inside and out.I could not recommend them enough.”

“If I could give 10 stars I would. Mike is the best! Truly an honest mechanic! I was told by another mechanic that my front axle needed to be replaced and he was going to charge me a hefty amount. I wanted to compare quotes and ended up going to Mike. When I met him he was very professional and answered all my questions. After a few hours after dropping my car off, he calls me back to tell me that the front axle was completely fine and that I didn't need to get it replaced. When I arrived, Mike was very thorough and explained and showed me why there wasn't anything wrong with my axle. I will be going back to Mike so long as I am still in NYC and will be recommending him to all my friends and family!”

“I can't recommend Marbren Tire (now renamed Tire Town Express) highly enough. I got new tires there in 2019 and their prices were reasonable, they were friendly, fast and efficient. After hitting a bad pothole on the LIE in Aug. 2022, they had a replacement tire in stock, suggested I only needed 1 new tire when I thought I would need at least 2 and I was in and out in about an hour. Vinny, the Manager is friendly and awesome as is Roberto in the shop. They don't give you a hard-oversell and suggest unneeded parts and repairs like some of their nearby 21st Street competitors. They are very conveniently located in LIC near the LIE, and near the 59th Street bridge and Queens Midtown Tunnel.”

When you talk to them you know you’re going to get a straightforward, honest answer from a shop that knows Porsches better than anyone I’ve met. It’s just a bonus that the shop is basically a museum!1. My ‘86 911 cab had sustained damage. I brought it to Michael to assess the damage and determine the correct course of action. Over several days Michael and I talked frequently and determined what steps needed to be taken. Michael advised me on what he thought was best but there was never any pressure, and the decision was ultimately left up to me.2. I take my 2018 Macan S here for service. “I live in the area and own a 2008 BMW 5 Series. As one could imagine, that requires an auto shop on speed dial. While the car is mechanically sound, there are constantly small things that need to be addressed (headlight out, drain clogged, wire needs replacing, brake discs, alignment, inspection, etc.).Anthony and his team have been there to handle all the small things as well as a few more major repairs like a valve cover replacement, and everything else that comes with an aging BMW. It's been almost half a decade that ZA & D. have been working with me to maintain this vehicle and I've always found them honest, competent, and transparent.I've lived in NYC over 16 years (coincidentally, about the same age as the car) and I've only felt compelled to write a review for one or two other businesses that have stood out to me as exceptional. “There are very few honest mechanics left on earth. Alen at AV motorwerks is one of the best mechanics I have ever come across, not only is he very professional with his work. He's honest with what he does. He's the only mechanic I have ever met that shows you the damaged part with the new replacement piece. His the type of guy that checks your vehicle before giving it back updating you on what you need and don't need. That extra piece of mind is something you can't buy at a regular local shop or dealership. I came in to do an oil change and breaks cause by the squeaking noise. After the oil change Alen showed me I didn't need breaks I had just over 60% left on them. It's probably because I leave the car sitting around way to long, which is true. Any other mechanic could have charge me $600 - $1,000 but that's not Alen. He did point out that the flex pipe was damage and could lead to more things needing to be replace later on. He found what was causing that exhaust leak without me asking him to check the car. Little things like this are the reasons I don't go anywhere else. FYI I also found that he was dog friendly and that shows the type of guy he is. Didn't mind my doberman around him and that speaks colum volumes. If you want an honest mechanic; someone that does professional work, checks everything around the car, sends you pictures of parts damage and has them there for you to see. You need to check him out. No other mechanics will go to the lengthand details that Alen at AV MOTORWERKS goes too. PS his always helping out veterans just as myself. Something that I'm grateful everyday for. “I recently bought a 2009 Town and Country Van with a Rebuilt Transmission which was rebuilt by a shop in West Hampton on March 15th . The Transmission failed on me and only the original owner was covered with their Warranty. I had the van towed to Hector and he rebuilt it the correct way and changed a abs sensor and did other stuff not involved with the transmission FREE OF CHARGE! I only paid him for the Rebuild of the transmission! He went over and beyond his call of Duty for me and my Van!! Im going to Transmissions R us Since 2015 and he did 3 Transmissions for me on 3 different Trucks and i never had a problem with them!! He is 1000.00 cheaper than the other shops and really cares about doing quality work! i wouldnt take my vehicles anywhere else!! He is the best in this Field!!”

“I had some noise come from my front brakes and contacted Alex an was told to swing by. Alex and his staff were very professional. I was told that front brakes are good, however the rear needs to be replaced. I'm always on top of my vehicle so I already purchased front and rear brakes to be on the safe side. They changed my brakes and my rear tail light as it was out. Will definitely return to this shop for more repairs if needed.”

“The head mechanic is very talented. I had rotors and break pads replaced, he also fixed the alignment and a few other minor things. The car hasn’t driven this well in years. I’m not sure what he did differently from others, but my car feels like new and it’s a 2017. He also was lovely to deal with. Quick turnaround and prices are fair. The location is right off the train which is also super convenient.”
