“FAO Schwarz was a nice toy store. It is large and well organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We went here for the Jellycat Diner, and I have to say that it was very fun and cool. However, if you want to experience it you need to make a reservation a month or two in advance. Also, there may be a line to get in as we experienced, so just keep that in mind when planning a visit here. A negative is that it can get quite crowded inside, but other than that there isn’t too much to complain about. I would say it is worth a visit if you are in New York and love toy stores, or are especially a fan of Jellycats.”
“Love to go there - amazing selection - but you have to understand the experience. It contains a HUGE selection of games, and RPG books. Might be the most in NY State outside of the huge Millennium games up in Rochester. I've found items that have been out of print for years, or had small production runs.
BUT...
Stacked in huge shelves that stretch from floor to ceiling. It takes a while to read through everything! With tiny aisles that barely have room for one person to walk down. If you're claustrophobic, be warned!
It's almost all at MSRP. Not a place to get a bargain or a deal, generally (that said, they do have a bargain shelf at the back of the store. Right hand aisle, left side all the way back).”
“I love this place. I visited quite often. It is a small store but lots to see and buy. Little girls love this place. There are a few things for the boys to do. There is a basketball hoop on the main floor and a train set downstairs close to the restaurant. As for the restaurants in the store, it is phenomenal. The food was delicious. I highly recommend a visit when in New York City.

“Beautiful store! Everything was clean, and organized the staff was very kind and friendly.
The kids had so much fun, especially at the Build a Minifigure station where you can build 3 minifigures for $9.99. They loved choosing all the different parts and putting them together.
It's a lovely place for kids. Mine didn't want to leave and wanted to take half the store home. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.”
“Great gift shop, has all the regular stuff you’d want to find, but the prices are fair, and the staff are very friendly and kind.
We even got a holiday gift of a free magnet.

“Yesterday was my son’s birthday party and I thought I ordered the balloons- turns out I didn’t. I called the balloon saloon an hour before the party in a panic. There was a rushed charge, but the Balloon Saloon worked fast, took the order, blew up the balloons and delivered to Chelsea in 45 mins. Thank you for your excellent products, customer service and hustle. I will be a customer for life. Thanks for saving a mom’s butt :)”
“10/10 experience the selection is wide and unique for the small space. You can find toys for all ages in there at a decent price! Plus I was being indecisive over a fidget toy and they let me open and and play with them after asking of course! They even tried it out themselves 😆 I also found some good needoh type of squishies in here got a hyland cow for 4 dollars and my fidget spinner for 8! You can beat that right now at all. My daughter got 2 sensory toys as well and she was very happy about it. Definitely recommend this shop to everyone and can't wait to come back on my next trip to the city.”

“There was a long line to get in, but it moved fairly quickly. Inside, it was crowded and chaotic, but as you’d expect, since it’s a place for kids, it’s normal for them to be fascinated and excited. The prices were pretty high. In any case, the staff was always very friendly, and we were able to create our own personalized bear, too.”

“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”

“My brother and I came here from Chicago and were planning to visit the Empire State Building, and we found this store right next to it. From the moment we walked in, we loved the energy and atmosphere.
A special thank you to Zoila, Juan, and Geo for making our visit so enjoyable. Zoila was incredibly kind and helped me find the perfect gift for my girlfriend. She was patient, friendly, and made the whole experience memorable. Juan was also very welcoming and spent time talking with me while I was waiting for my friends, which I really appreciated.
While I was there, I noticed they also host kids’ parties. It was great to see how much the children were enjoying themselves and how well everything was organized.

“This small space has a shocking amount of art supplies. Hot glue sticks, foam core boards in several sizes, drawing pads etc. They also carry hula hoops all year. Do you know how hard it is to find a hula hoop in the winter? This place is the greatest. Shop local!”

“I went here in November and it was awesome. They had a cool Lego Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. They also have a Lego Bluey statue a Lego Statue of Liberty and much more. “I had a great experience ordering a Lava Squish N' Flow for my nephew's birthday from ToyWiz. They're very popular right now, and ToyWiz is the only place that had them in stock at a reasonable place. The first one they sent unfortunately had a manufacturing defect, and all the liquid had leaked out of it. ToyWiz sent a replacement immediately, and they even opened the box to check that the replacement was in good shape, and then resealed it. My nephew thought it was a pretty neat present, and I would definitely order from ToyWiz again!”

“It's a little bit pricey, but my kid had a lot of fun. At first, their system accepted my appointment at a private event. We had to wait for two hours until the event finished. My daughter was so disappointed since we came all the way from downtown Brooklyn. The staff apologized for the mixed up nicely, and as a software engineer, I know that technology is not reliable sometimes. So, I decided not to blame the store. Everyone there was so nice, my daughter really enjoyed her craft and said that she wanted to come back next time.But I'd recommend looking into the system issue since it was very disappointing at the beginning.”

“We attended Bluey's House experience with a toddler and I have to say I was really impressed with Camp NYC. So much more than I expected. It was the perfect rainy day/indoor activity. We gave it a lot of Oooohs and Aaaahs. From the whole tour concept to the perfect amount of activities to keep your little ones interested and not over-stimulated, I would give it a 10-Star rating if possible. Kudos to the friendly employees as well!”
