“Between Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams, I choose Braulio! I came with my girlfriend fighting over the paint color and he calmed us down. He guided us in the most astute way, and saved our apartment!”
“Jacob, the young man is fantastic.
His level of kindness and willingness to help even for the very small and minor area is 10/10.
I left the store feeling very happy and with heartfelt humanity which is lacking and very rare these days.
God bless you young man!”
“It is my favorite to go place in the whole NYC to buy paints. Whenever I come I always go straght to Sophiya, she is the most knowlegeable and professional specialist in thus entity. She is always helping me find the paint that best suits my needs be it a new design in my customer's apartment or some faux finish paint for restoration. I would definately recommend this place”
“Great selection of paints and hardware, plus friendly, knowledgeable staff. Found exactly what I needed quickly, and the prices were fair. Will definitely be back!”

“I’ve been coming here for years while living in the neighborhood, and the folks who work here are awesome. They’re super helpful, explain everything without being condescending, and I always leave knowing that I’ve gotten both a good deal and had a great customer service experience. If you’re looking for a well-stocked, friendly, and well-priced neighborhood hardware store then this is the place!”
“Impeccable customer service. Chris gave me a master class on how to finish wood- he was honest, thorough, not pushy, and I got what I need at a fair price. Thank you!”
“Two Words..Great Service. Needed a particular color matched and they hit the nail right on the money.
They matched the color ,as well as the paint type and I was out the door with enough time to grab lunch.
Thank you. Much appreciated 👏”
“Raymond and Joe were so helpful in choosing a paint color and allowing me to pay in advance for the painter to pick up the next day. Being from out of town they were very gracious and provided excellent customer service.”
“Excellent service! They helped me at all stages of selecting paint and necessary equipment. I was very glad to visit such a pleasant place. The staff provides high level service!”
“I cannot recommend this team highly enough. They exemplify professional courtesy, offering comprehensive explanations and a generous allocation of their expertise.”
“This place is great! Literally has everything every tool every piece of wood. You need best place love it! Customer service is great people. They are great. Best hardware store around!”
“I second the words of many of the reviews already posted. I needed help purchasing paint and supplies for a small home improvement project. Not only were their paint prices lower than their competitors, but the woman and tall gentleman both took time to offer tips and advice for prepping the walls and applying paint.”
“Abbot is the best place for the pro and the DYI wood finishes. Great advice and things in stock that are hard to find in paint stores. Jim is very helpful and friendly.”
“I had the pleasure of being assisted by Loraine at Sherwin-Williams, and I cannot speak highly enough of her! She went above and beyond to help me with my paint selection, providing expert advice and patiently answering all my questions. Her warm and lovely demeanor made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. If you’re looking for exceptional service, Loraine is definitely the person to go to”
“Love this store! The staff are the best part. Super helpful. They sell air conditioners! Best night of sleep I’ve had in ages. My go-to shop in Bushwick for everything.”
“Went to visit the store on a rainy weekday around 8AM and as soon as I walked in, Danny greeted me with a big smile on his face. Danny was so energetic and eager to help even though it was barely past 8AM. I was in & out of the store in less than 15 minutes with everything I needed. Thank you Danny.”

“First time dealing with this business. Had to get some ice melt delivered quickly in the runup to the snowstorm. Roman was very helpful -- kept in touch on the phone, reasonable price, delivery happened as promised. Very good experience! I recommend ML & M.”
“They can match any color you can bring in! Give my man a few minutes, and he'll come back with the same color! He matched the paint that I couldn't find anywhere!”
“Needed paint for the apartment in PLG. Looked around for the closest Benjamin Moore distributor from where the apartment is and found this place. It does not have an online presence, but it exists as of the date of this review. That area of Church Ave seems to have been built up since Google took its photo for Street View. My assumption is that the building was leased on the cheap and franchised as a paint supplier with the knowledge that the neighborhoods along trains (this being fairly close to the 2, 5) are the first to be revitalized.Service was very good. I was a little confused when I was telling the clerk the color I needed. I speak newscaster English so when he asked me to write down the spelling, I was a little befuddled.2 gallons of cheap latex flat, 6 or so tray liners, 3 rollers, and 2 cheap brushes ended up a little over $70. Not sure if that's inexpensive or average for the city.”

“The staff perfectly tinted primer for me (a task I thought was impossible because of the nature of the specific primer I needed), and gave me excellent advice that aided in the success of my mural project! I needed a lot of primer and they had it in stock, and other Benjamin Moore stores nearby didn’t. They also loaded the paint in my car. Amazing customer service!!!”
“My son's bike chain got stuck and I needed to take the wheel off to fix it, but we were miles from home and the nuts were too tight to loosen by hand. Ovington was the closest hardware store and they let me borrow a channel lock to break the nuts loose, no charge. Very friendly staff and they really saved my day!”
“Good quality paint overall. Prices are okay/not great, but at least it is convenient when you need something quick. I did a color match one time - it wasn’t the best, I wanted dark brown, got a similar dark purple. Other than that I would go back for supplies. It saves me a trip to Home Depot for only a small amount of savings.”
“Excellent local hardware store. Great selection. Excellent Benjamin Moore paint department. AAA+++ friendly service. I have been going here for years and will continue to patronize this place. Best hardware store in Brooklyn! Don’t go anywhere else. You so t be disappointed.”
“This store is great. Has everything you need for the house. I buy all my furniture and rugs from them all the time. They deliver and put it together for you. Great deals!”
“Small hardware store, but still has almost anything you need and they’ll order new products to meet the needs of the community if they don’t have something you need! The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful, especially Ali, who helped me out my first time in!”
