“I am a loyal customer and come here for 99% of my pantry needs. They have some of the best nuts I’ve ever tried (especially their roasted almonds and cashews), huge fan of the Turkish apricots and their figs are always soft. They have a great selection of spices, Ayurvedic medicines, and grains & legumes. I also buy their rotis and love making wraps with them. As a home cook they stock my kitchen! And the staff are always very helpful, if you’re looking for something in particular or have an ailment that you need a remedy for.”

“More space and brighter, compared to their previous location which was very tight. Still a small store so can find needs but not an extensive variety. There's a rewards card which can earn you $20 discount after 100 stamps (1 stamp per $10 purchase). Tip: if you forgot your rewards card, have your receipt stamped and bring it back the next time to be added to your card. Helpful staff. Have been enjoying the riceballs from here - less than $3 each. Seaweed wrapper is separate until ready to eat. Haven't tried their other cooked food items.”

“I loved visiting this store for the environmental aspect. Packaged products are an epidemic throughout our country and Precycle helps to solve this issue. The truth is that so many people are used to packaged products that stores like Precycle will likely be rare. “Honestly my FAVORITE place in the neighborhood. I usually come here for breakfast because their breakfast burritos are ? but my go to is the cheddar chive sausage biscuit!! They also have vegan options, and over all just healthy snacks and meals! It’s always stocked up with the cutest accessories and bits of home decor too. It’s a safe space and one that I will treasure forever ?”

The man behind the counter now is quiet but cordial. Glad to have another go-to for coffee and a great bite of food. “Wow what a small but mighty store. Great selection of produce and a ton of bulk offerings. Bulk olive oil and canola oil, kombucha, spices, a ton of different dried fruits and nuts and flours. Friendly and welcoming staff! It seems they discount and even make their past best by dates perishables free, love to see it. Not sure if I can see myself joining but might be worth it for the bulk supplies such as shampoo, conditioner, and various soaps as well as the food items mentioned above. 3 word summary: Organic, local, affordable”

“After hearing so much about this spot, was treated by a friend to some vegetarian momos, veggie samosas, and a mango lassi. I’ve had momos once before and didn’t enjoy, but these definitely changed my view for the better. I was hooked on the peanut orange sauce and spicy red sauce that came with them; use with caution if you’re sensitive to heat like myself. The samosa was amazing and I enjoyed the crispy flavor of the shell with the sweet sauce. I never had such a filling, thick mango lassi before— will be my go-to drink going forward here. The woman behind the cashier that also worked on preparing the food was super sweet and patient with ordering. Will be back again to try the paratha cheesy momo wrap and paratha breakfast wrap!”

Arrived as tourist and left feeling local.The guys here sorted out anything we needed any time any day, literally got treat like royalty with the staff.The food is impeccable, I was told to try a chopped cheese on my travels, I had nothing to compare it to, but delivered! As did the bacon egg and cheese and french toast, hot chocolate and coffee.Nothing is too much trouble, clean, fresh deli counter with an amazing selection!Looking forward to coming back to the neighbourhood and revisiting these guys!”

The store is a pleasure to shop at, with helpful staff, clean and bright store with never having to wait long (if at all) for checkout lines. “Mally’s cured me, renewed my hope in Mexican food in New York City. Until Mally’s, I’d only ever received pure, unadulterated horsesh*t from Mexican joints on the east coast, often served on a platter and smothered unceremoniously in sour cream to give the appearance of dog food. Mally’s gets it right and keeps the recipes simple. My chorizo tacos were delicious— onions grilled into the meat, easy on the crema, plenty of lime, radishes on the side. The atmosphere itself is lovely; you’ll feel like you’re in someone’s home kitchen. Good music, a beautiful shrine for Our Lady of Guadalupe, family photos. I only knocked one star off for a slightly odd smell.”

“I ordered some arepas and an empanada. Both were bigger than I expected! My partner had the burger and let me try a bite of it. They were right—it might be the best thing on the menu. I was really intrigued by the empanadas and arepas, though. The corn flour on both was unlike how either is usually prepared, crisp on the outer layer and soft beneath it. Corn empanada shells are often crunchy and hard, and arepas are usually very soft and thick and contained. I liked these and wondered if there is one Latin American country whose style they are made in. Also, as other commenters have mentioned, the music is excellent. For a place that catches your attention from the street with eye-popping colors, everything inside lives up to that initial impression.”
