“We travel to Utica at least one a year to see family. We have stayed in many local hotels in Utica and along the east coast. This year we stayed here for Thanksgiving. This stay has by far been one of the best hotel experiences we have had in a long time. Very friendly and generous staff who have been more than willing to help with whatever we have needed from forgotten toiletries to batteries for kids toys. All shifts of the front desk staff were amazing and housekeeping was so helpful and ready with offers of fresh towels and trash emptying even when we declined room cleaning. We haven’t stayed in a Holiday Inn for a long time because we are rewards members of another hotel chain, but this will definitely not be the last time. The level of customer service was very appreciated! Also appreciate the large clean rooms and reasonable room prices.”
“The staff was very nice however understaffed. My biggest complaint was the parking lot. We had a major ice storm and snow storm. The parking lot was not properly plowed or salted. My husband is handicapped and had a difficult time. The doorways were not shoveled and the plows pushed snow into parking spots and in front of doors. Rooms were very nice and breakfast was good. They need better maintenance crew.
Rooms: Very clean and nice
Nearby activities: Close to Stanley theatre and restaurants
Safety: Parking lot not cleared during snow and ice storm
Walkability: McDonald’s and Wendy’s on the property and Dennys across the street
Food and drinks: Vending machines very expensive.
Breakfast very good”

“I had a very good stay here. The king bed was extremely comfortable. It may look dated, but I felt it was pretty okay, especially the price, on labor day weekend. There is a great supermarket within a mile, as well as every fast food place imaginable the other way. The man at the front desk was very nice. Also, be prepared to leave a deposit.Walkability: The Price chopper is within a mile”
“Just stayed at the Doubletree Utica and couldn’t be more pleased. Although our room wasn’t quite ready upon arrival, Jordyn let us get a beverage and brought us our keys as soon as it was ready. Seemed busy with hockey teams so understandable the room wasn’t quite ready.
This is a historic hotel that is very well kept up. The lobby is pretty with chandeliers and a mezzanine. It was a pleasant place to sit. Our room had two queens and was very clean. It was also much larger than an average hotel room.
We were tired from a long day of travel so we ordered DoorDash and this hotel allows the driver to deliver right to the room (love that). Later we picked up dessert from the hotel restaurant and it was delicious! Flourless chocolate torte.
Our room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Coffee the next morning was very good. Would definitely stay at this property again.”
