“I try not to go anywhere else for my building/home improvement supplies if I don't have to. The Manager Mike S. is the absolute best! He always goes above and beyond, answering an infinite amount of questions and advising me on every meticulous detail of all my home improvement needs! If I bring him a concept with no idea of where to even start, he not only compiles the list of supplies for me to complete it with, but also comes up with an efficient step by step process to bring my project ideas to life! (Or he refers me to a reliable source that can do it for me when he knows I'm in way over my head... ? in which case, he will then coordinate with BOTH myself and the contractor I hire thru the entire process, keeping me informed of everything along the way!) And on the rare occasion that any problems arise with any of the products that I purchase from Lenco, he's always got my back and does everything in his power to rectify the situation. I wish he could be my own personal project manager for all my home improvement needs, but sadly he's already taken!! ? Lenco is lucky to have him!”
“Schuele Ace Hardware is exactly what a neighborhood hardware store should be. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to point you in the right direction. You can walk in with a project, a problem, or even just a vague idea of what you need, and someone there will help you figure it out.
The store is well stocked, easy to get through, and far more convenient than wandering around a big-box store trying to find someone who knows what they’re talking about. It has that old-school Buffalo neighborhood feel, but with the products and service you actually need.

“I make it a point to shop at Valu for all that they offer and stopped going to the big box stores if Value has it. They are a locally owned family business, that is supportive of the community and they welcome all no matter your political perspective. Weekly sales help round out prices of higher priced items. Purchasing from local owners is great for our community and helps strengthen or community.”
“I bought a grill that was on sale. It was a great deal on a really nice grill. The workers measure the opening to my suv and needed to take a side tray off to make it fit. The screws were quite pesky and it was taking some work to loosen things up. I apologized for the extra work they had to do, but everyone responded with " it's not a problem at all" Super Job to all of the staff! Thank you so much. I will be seeing you guys soon.”
“If I'm in the area I'll come to this hardware store because they have a lot of items that you can't find at the other hardware store in Hamburg , like a larger selection of fasteners and other things a serious DIYer might use. It's one of the last remaining old school hardware stores that can still compete against the big chain hardware franchises.”

“I use to go to that very large store where you would have to walk a half mile looking for someone to help you. And when you got there, they weren't ! Not this Value store in Lackawanna ! They will find you ! I have found everything I needed here. The workers there are amazing. I wish I could remember all their names because each one deserves recognition. Friendly, kind and helpful. I was just in there yesterday for batteries and the woman cashier went out of her way to get the number for the type of battery I needed. Thank you !”

“Staff are polite and eager to help. There have never been more than three customers present regardless of the time or weekday. Store is too large for the amount of merchandise stocked. Items are displayed well and priced correctly. Front entrance could be more aesthetically welcoming. Store feels like stepping back in time instead of keeping up with technology and trends. A good location for grabbing paint, caulk, and small hardware.”

“Went in with the hardware of a new door handle that I mistakenly stripped... wanted to see if I could get a replacement for those parts....the young gentleman couldn't be more helpful...tried a few different ideas and finally came up with something he thought would work....he charged me nothing since I didn't purchase anything and when I returned home his solution and minor adjustments worked! I am now going to this establishment for any hardware items I need.. I highly recommend it ...an added plus is the ambience of an old school hardware store.. love it!”
