“Amazing customer service! I needed something from the hardware store after they had already closed, and Zak, Naz, and Lou went above and beyond by opening the store back up just to help me. They were extremely kind, patient, and helpful and made sure I got exactly what I needed.
It’s rare to find this level of customer service and people who genuinely care about their customers. Zak, Naz, and Lou truly saved the day for me. I really appreciate them going out of their way, especially so late. Highly recommend this hardware store definitely deserving of 5 stars!”
“Like another reviewer said, coming in here is an experience. David and Peter are just two awesome guys of the community. It’s something out of a movie. The shop is chaotic and disorganized, sure. But they will go up and out of their way to ensure you get what you need and will give you the time of day for even odd hyper specific requests. I was trying to build a guitar pedalboard but make it very customized with a pretty specific thing in mind… but I didn’t really have exact dimensions. David spent off and on about 1-2 hours going through the store and talking me through what I needed and how to do it. Pros and cons. I personally think I can be annoying with some of the trying to understand the how and why but they don’t make you feel that way.
TL;DR: being in there feels like an irl sitcom while also getting very practical help and things.”

“I got my keys copied here and they were super fast, really cheap, and did a great job. If I ever need copies again, I’m definitely coming back here and nowhere else. Just keep in mind they close pretty early, so check the time before you go.”
“Best selection of hardware in Astoria other than going to the LIC or Lex 59th Home Depot. Prices are reasonable, $1.60 out the door for a small box of fasteners! They take credit card for sub ten dollar purchases as well.
My two gripes are 1. that not everything is labeled with a price and 2. that the hours and days of the week the store is open are limited. Other than that, no notes. Shop at local small businesses!”

“I stopped in to figure out a solution to mount my TV mount to drywall or metal studs. The shopkeeper was very patient listening to what I had tried so far and to my plan, and he offered helpful suggestions. He found screws and washers that were perfect for my situation, and after placing a handful in my hand he told me that I was good to go. I insisted on paying but he insisted that it was fine. Very nice and helpful!! :)”

“This store is an amazing local hardwar store with lots of cool houseware and decorations for holidays. Not to mention the staff is wonderful and helpful. When I first moved to my apartment nearby, one of the associates offered to carry a bench I bought for my balcony for me to my new apartment. I would honestly go there more often, if only they were open on Sundays! See, Sunday is my only free day during the week, where I don't have work and less likely to have other stuff going on. It would really help both me and our community if they were open on Sundays as well.”

I called ahead to tell them what I needed in my own words I told them and they guided me throughout the whole process, I needed some lumber and didn’t know the measure of the lumber at all, one of gentleman at front took his time to show me the lumber I needed to make sure if that’s the lumber I needed for my project! They have a bunch of tools there and if you need any help, they are open help you! Highly recommended! Will be coming back for my next project!”

“Rain dew is a great local store that remind you of the old-time Woolworths. They seem to have a little bit of everything you can get candy, hardware, yarn, toys.. they have it all. “Best local hardware store. Jimmy the owner cares about all his customers amd extends every courtesy. He is so knowledgeable about most home and even commercial repairs or installations that its a place you can trust. Anyone with an issue can get the advice and help to tackle any job no matter your skill level. Its well worth the extra buck or two for materials because you actually have someone that knows about the jobs you need to do and the materials needed. You go to home depot and all you get is a shrug and or sorry I can't help you that's another department”

“For the last few days it's been HOT! But my window has window guards with these weird screws. I tried Home depot, Amazon, etc etc. no luck. I called Angelos and spoke with Jim, right of the gate he was knowledgeable and helpful. I was so hopeful when I got to the store. He gave me what I needed. The store had this home town feeling. Like y'all need to come here instead of those big corporate stores. You'll get help FAST. Well what he gave me worked and I successfully installed our AC unit. I highly recommend this store!
