“A brand new door was installed & the results were perfect. Charles also did a lock replacement for 2 of my rooms in my home. Definitely a great locksmith if you need any help”
1327 Broadway, Brooklyn NY 11221
“Small hardware store, but still has almost anything you need and they’ll order new products to meet the needs of the community if they don’t have something you need! The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful, especially Ali, who helped me out my first time in!”
248 3rd Ave, New York NY 10010
“Super thankful for the knowledgeable staff at Warsaw (Matt or Max? forgive me for misremembering) who went above and beyond to repair my Aunt’s lamp — not only did they rewire it, but they also found broken pieces of it in the lamp body when they were working on it and took the initiative to glue them back together and restore the top of the lamp to be as good as new!”
65-25 Forest Ave, Ridgewood NY 11385
“Like another reviewer said, coming in here is an experience. David and Peter are just two awesome guys of the community. It’s something out of a movie. The shop is chaotic and disorganized, sure. But they will go up and out of their way to ensure you get what you need and will give you the time of day for even odd hyper specific requests. I was trying to build a guitar pedalboard but make it very customized with a pretty specific thing in mind… but I didn’t really have exact dimensions. David spent off and on about 1-2 hours going through the store and talking me through what I needed and how to do it. Pros and cons. I personally think I can be annoying with some of the trying to understand the how and why but they don’t make you feel that way. TL;DR: being in there feels like an irl sitcom while also getting very practical help and things.”

“always a good experience here recently designed and built a custom sideboard using their reasonably priced materials and the help of easy going staff who are willing to help with anything any time”

“I recently had an exceptional experience with Safe House Locksmith. Donald guided me over the phone, step by step, to get our safe operating and open. His patience and frequent check-ins made the process smooth and stress-free. It was clear that he prioritizes clients by ensuring the issue was something we could easily fix before scheduling a service call. I’m truly grateful for his help and insights. I highly recommend Safe House Locksmith and will definitely reach out to them for all our future locksmith needs. Thanks, Donald!”

“I love having this place in the neighborhood. They have a really nice selection, a mix of stuff you need and stuff you just want for fun. I really enjoy the seasonal items and the high quality candles. Highly recommend!”

“Exceptional, Genius Service! I cannot say enough amazing things about Carlos at Mazzone Ace Hardware! He truly went above and beyond in a way you rarely see anymore. I came in looking for a key solution, and instead of just selling me something standard, Carlos came up with a genius idea: he figured out a way to switch out the lock so I could use the existing keys I had already purchased. To top it all off, he actually skipped his own lunch just to make sure my keys were cut perfectly (200 of them) and I was taken care of. He is incredibly generous, sweet, and a absolute lifesaver. Mazzone Ace Hardware has a customer for life thanks to Carlos. If you need anything, go see him!”

“Great service and communication! I love the wide selection of brands. I'm really glad I found Qualified Hardware and look forward to doing more business with them.”
245-251 Beach 116th St, Rockaway Park NY 11694
“Your neighborhood hardware store should have just about anything you need to take care of things in and around your home and Mazzone ACE Hardware on 116th does just that! Everyone working there is so knowledgeable and helpful that you leave their feeling confident that you’ve gotten just exactly what you need. It certainly beats the corporate hardware stores, you know HD and one that begins with an L where help is hard to find and the personal touch is sorely lacking. I’m so glad that we have Mazzone’s ACE hardware to rely upon.”
660 5th Ave, Brooklyn NY 11215
“I mean, this is a place that understands what customers are and how to serve them. Every time I go in I get what a hotel or a high-end clothing boutique would advertise as 'concierge service' or 'personal shopping provided' but here it's just someone who's interested in listening to my problem, examining whatever I brought with me, making helpful suggestions, disappearing into the bolt archives for 5 mins, and coming back and charging me like $4.38 for a sale they just spent 10 minutes of their time on. You can get someone to help you at Lowes or Home Depot, but you can't assume they're gonna do so in a way that makes it clear they want you to keep coming back. I will keep going back to Greschler's”

“Needed help with door lock in new apt in NYC. Sky was recommended by my supt--and they were fantastic. Not only fixed the lock (which involved some complicated readjusting of plates and bolt) but also helped me figure out why door was continuing to stick (such that it wouldn't open) and then addressed THAT with general handyman skills at no extra charge. Fee was actually less than originally quoted. Couldn't have been nicer or more professional. Highly recommend.”

“Great service and staff! Midtown Lumber provides custom wood cutting at a very reasonable price. They did an excellent job cutting my pieces. Would highly recommend Midtown Lumber.”

415 5th Ave, Brooklyn NY 11215
“Jacob, the young man is fantastic. His level of kindness and willingness to help even for the very small and minor area is 10/10. I left the store feeling very happy and with heartfelt humanity which is lacking and very rare these days. God bless you young man!”
1807 Church Ave, Brooklyn NY 11226
“Extremely helpful and very attentive to my needs. Really appreciate the time and patience they had with me not knowing exactly what I truly needed! Definitely my go to when I need guidance for any supplies I need. 10/10”
18-07 Astoria Blvd, Long Island City NY 11102
“Best selection of hardware in Astoria other than going to the LIC or Lex 59th Home Depot. Prices are reasonable, $1.60 out the door for a small box of fasteners! They take credit card for sub ten dollar purchases as well. My two gripes are 1. that not everything is labeled with a price and 2. that the hours and days of the week the store is open are limited. Other than that, no notes. Shop at local small businesses!”
1042 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn NY 11225
“Moe also known as Mr. Key man was fast and efficient! I made a call before coming and had my key copy in my hand within minutes of arriving. He’s also super nice and welcoming. I will be back for sure!!!”

“truly the best hardware store around! i have taken a few keys to get copied and there was one that was pretty tricky, but they took their time to try to solve the puzzle and, in the end, it worked! such kind and great gentlemen here-- always met with a smile. love having a local hardware store; don't second guess, these guys are great! 😊🗝”
109 5th Ave, Brooklyn NY 11217
“Friendly staff and a range of items for home repairs and other projects. While I only needed an anchor and some hooks, the folks were quick to show me a few options and the items were well priced. If I need keys or other home repair supplies, I’ll be sure to come back. (And the anchor / hooks worked well for the disco ball hanging).”

“They are a great convenience to have so close to the train. They make keys on the spot, they have all kinds of housewares, dishes, and all types of utensils marked for kosher use, either red or blue. Even more, they have a keilim mikveh on site.”
2906 Broadway, New York NY 10025
“First I'd like to say the customer service from whoever answered the phone to the many knowledgeable employees they have on the floor to always help is amazing . I went there to get keys made but wasn't coming back in the area for a week so I wa Ted confirmation if the keys didn't work was ok to come back a week later with them ? The answer was a resounding YES NOT A ISSUE !!! Well the keys were cut perfectly (5) in total . Great place and if in the area of Columbia University I suggest 100 % use them for your hardware needs !”

“Very reasonable prices on key copies. I went to a Keyme in the supermarket the other day and it was $13 for one key, whereas here they only charge $3.50 and you get a little key ring and everything.”
