Absolutely loved my House salad with cranberries, walnuts, feta and the optional added seared rare tuna bites (perfectly cooked). Also grabbed a side of sweet potato fries. OMHeavens were they crisp and tasty. Staff and service are superior going above and beyond in taking care of everyone in the place and keeping the shop and even the parking lot outside immaculate.

Uglie Mugs Coffee House
40534 North Carolina Hwy 12, AvonOur favorite coffee shop on Hatteras Island. Service is amazing and friendly. Coffee and baked goods delicious. Although the interior may not have the coziness of some coffee shops, the atmosphere is open with plenty of space to take in the local art or get a little work done (if you do that kinda thing in Avon).

There were four of us, and everyone loved the food. Two blackened mahi fish sandwiches, flounder, and a shrimp po boy. The bloody Marys were also good.
Will definitely be coming back!
