The wait was actually only 10 minutes and then they didn't want to seat us because we weren't all there. So, keep this in mind. Other than this little hiccup we had a really great time and the food was absolutely declicious. The loaded chips were to die for.

Tap That OBX
4622 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty HawkWe had never heard of Tap That and our friends were in OBX for St Patricks Day Weekend. They told us to meet them there. I am so glad we did, We had the best time and absolute most fun of any place we have been. Granted it was packed, we played music bingo, met the owners though it was busy they met many people that night. They are dog friendly. Tap That is a must if your visiting the Outer Banks on NC.

I didn’t catch our waitress’s name but she has a blonde , she was awesome. Perfect lunch early dinner spot. She told us they have great breakfast so we will check it out again !.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers.
The food was absolutely phenomenal—every dish was flavorful, fresh, and prepared to perfection. You can tell the chefs take pride in their craft because every bite was memorable. Compliments to the entire kitchen team for creating such an outstanding meal.
What truly set this restaurant apart was the combination of incredible food and exceptional service. It’s rare to find a place where every aspect of the experience exceeds expectations, but this restaurant did exactly that.
To the chefs, servers, and everyone behind the scenes: thank you for your hard work and dedication. You’ve earned a loyal customer, and I will be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know.

3848 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty HawkIf I could give 6 stars, I would. Party of 8 at six o'clock on a Saturday night, waited only five minutes. Delicious food, a magician came by the table...kids loved it, dessert was amazing. Black and Bleu NY strip was fantastic. Service was phenomenal. Wish we went here earlier in our trip because we would have gone again.

5230 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty HawkWe had a wonderful meal at Vilai’s Thai Kitchen in Kitty Hawk. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The green curry was rich and aromatic with just the right amount of spice, and the pad thai noodles were a standout — perfectly balanced and satisfying. The grilled veggies were simple but done really well, and the veggie rolls made for a tasty start to the meal. As vegetarians, we appreciated how many great options there were and how thoughtfully everything was made. Friendly service and authentic flavors made this a meal we’d happily come back for. Highly recommend if you’re craving Thai on the Outer Banks!
