“Great complex with quality floor plans for all living situations. Maria was so kind to let us tour several floor plans. She was so welcoming and knowledgeable about each floor plan we toured. Townhomes are awesome for any family or students that are looking for a place to stay. Bedrooms are very big and could easily fit king sized beds with a desk and drawer. The location is perfect beside a Harris Teeter and plaza. Definitely the best spot to live on MLK Blvd.”

“We moved to Cosgrove. In May of this year. The entire management staff. has been very professional and terrific to work with. Sara is very thoughtful, energetic, professional, and helpful in many areas. Her leadership has been very necessary during this difficult construction endeavor . We shall miss Neil’s genuine kindness and help and wish him good luck in his new adventure and recovery. J and Martine have been incredible in fixing our problems and their positive attitude is always present. We are very happy living in Cosgrove Hill and appreciate all of the activities and projects they offer to the renters. It is a great community !!,”

“I absolutely love living here at 1701 North. I’ve lived in other apartments in chapel hill but this one by far is the best. The apartment is nice and has a lot of natural lighting, its dog friendly, the amenities are great, especially the pool. The clubhouse always has events going on (free food, wine tasting, food trucks, and prizes and giveaways) And the management is always friendly. you can tell they do their best to make sure you have a good experience and get to know you through events. I rarely have house maintenance issues. I think I accidentally broke my cabinet once but they can to fix it very swiftly. Overall I really like it here”

“I have lived at Laurel Ridge Apartments for the past three years and had an outstanding experience. From the start, the management team was friendly, professional, and always quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. The maintenance staff were extremely impressive. Any time I submitted a service request, it was handled promptly, the team is consistently kind and considerate.

The community itself is very well-maintained, with clean common areas and a quiet, welcoming atmosphere. It is also close to everything.

Overall, I highly recommend Laurel Ridge Apartments.”

“Lived here for past 6 months for my travel nurse opportunity at UNC. Shout out to amazing leasing office staff and maintenance crew for an exceptional stay at Chapel Hill. Lots of good amenities and awesome events for residents!”

“Every morning you'll see the office staff tidying up the common areas around the building. Any time I've voiced any compliant they've taken immediate action to help me. They also put on fun events every month for the whole community, which really makes the entire building have a safe and fun family vibe.
The maintenance staff is extremely professional, and they'll always greet you with a smile and wave.
The people who live here are mainly working individuals and families, so if you're trying to avoid the trouble of living in a student community this is a great place.”

“I lived here for the entirety of my 3 years as a graduate student at UNC. I loved every moment of being here. The apartment is definitely a bit older than some of the newer apartment complexes being built around UNC. However, it is located in close proximity to the actual campus, plenty of parking, excellent leasing office (never had issues with packages), prompt maintenance requests, and absolutely wonderful human beings.
Even today, I miss my time in Chapel Hill dearly and it was an absolute pleasure to have resided here for those 3 years there.”

Everything I need is just a short walk or drive away, making my daily life incredibly convenient. The apartment layout is both functional and stylish. The modern finishes and thoughtful design elements create a comfortable and inviting living space that I'm proud to call home.”

“The maintenance department at Crosstown At Chapel Hill is exceptional and specifically- Corey. I called in a panic to leave an emergency maintenance request for plumbing. Within minutes of submitting my report, Corey contacted me. I explained that when my toilet was flushed- water rushed out the back. I thought this was in relation to the water shut off that happened the day/night before. Also, Sarah, management, kept us informed every step of the way by emails about the water shut off problems and repair. Which helps the residents to feel considered and respected.

Corey took one look and determined that the tube in the tank was disconnected and he fixed it. I then showed him the toilet in the primary bedroom bath and he determined it needed a different part (I had been procrastinating calling about it) and would return to fix it.

I felt so embarrassed that I made an emergency report and I did cry . I felt embarrassed that I had not called about the other toilet. Corey was so patient and reassuring and made me feel better and he didn't judge me for my crying or for not checking the tank myself first (which I could have done) His professionalism and positive demeanor meant so much. He is a valuable representation for Crosstown at Chapel Hill. I have lived here for 5 years and have always been happy with the maintenance department. Today, I was even more impressed and appreciative- this is due to the positive interaction and assistance from Corey.

I would highly recommend based the maintenance department and also the response from Sarah, in the office.

I want to add another review- once again a problem happened on the weekend- Sunday. I made the call for emergency maintenance and received a prompt and timely response. This time, the staff person was Xavier, and once again professional and courteous assistance, and efficient service to fix the problem. I am always impressed by the maintenance staff at Crosstown at Chapel Hill apartments.”

“I lived here for a year 2021-2022 and it was a good place to live. Management is responsive, the place is clean. I didn’t hear my neighbors too much or the street noise.”

“Moving over an old review. 10 years ago
This place is just beautiful. Unfortunately, I had to move back to Florida but this place was wonderful. The amenities are awesome. I moved here with my husband and 5 year old son. Its very family friendly but they manage to balance it to be adult friendly as well. They keep up the grounds very well. Its close to everything and on the UNC bus route. The apartments are beautiful. We had an interior brick wall and lived on the bottom floor. We only had to call maintenance once because we wanted a screened patio door we saw others getting. To our surprise they were more than happy to oblige and were there before the day was out. Seriously, the best apartment we have lived in. Great school systems.”

“Timber Hollow has been a great place to live! The bus stop is right at the front of the community, which makes getting around Chapel Hill super easy—especially for someone without a car. Jackson has been incredibly helpful throughout the entire leasing process and really made me feel welcome here. The location, the quiet vibe, and how convenient everything is has made this a great home.”

“Based on other reviews I was hesitant to call the office inquiring about an apartment for next year for my daughter who is a student at UNC. I’m glad I didn’t let other reviews dissuade me. I spoke first to Rebecca who was very pleasant and explained all the differences in floor plans and sites (there is one complex off of MLK and one on Bolinwood). Website is unclear which floor plans are at which location so it is a tad confusing. Rebecca explained the differences and the process for applying. I had to call back the next day after my daughter started the application process (and ran into questions) and got Pam. She was just as helpful and pleasant as Rebecca. She even proposed my daughter coming into the office and having them help her with her application. My daughter went today and had the best experience. Pam was beyond helpful and super patient with my daughter. This is my daughter’s first experience applying for an apartment and it couldn’t have gone better. My daughter chose this complex as one of her friends has an apartment there and she absolutely loves it. My daughter won’t move in until next year so I can’t speak to her experience in the actual apartment (I will update my review if needed), but I can speak to the reception we have had with the front office and it has been nothing short of phenomenal. Thank you Pam and Rebecca for making this milestone such a great experience!”

“I lived here from 2023–2025 and had a very positive experience overall. The staff are consistently friendly and truly go the extra mile for residents. Dwayne and Abby were especially wonderful — they made me feel valued and taken care of during my time here. Maintenance was also very responsive whenever I submitted a request, which I really appreciated.

I’m not giving five stars because I do feel the apartments are somewhat overpriced for what you get. Parking is especially expensive at $125 per month, and towing is heavily enforced, so guests need to be very careful. The atmosphere can also be loud at times, as many residents are college students, and there were nights with people drinking and running down the halls.

That said, aside from those downsides, I don’t have many complaints. Overall, it was a good place to live with a supportive and attentive team.”

“They say you're the person that makes your house a home, but when it comes to living here it's definitely the office staff. They make me feel safe and address any issues. I have almost immediately the office staff is friendly and professional and they make me feel like family not a resident. I love living here. I highly recommend it. It's one of the few places where you're not required to make three times the amount of rent to live there. It's beautiful and quiet and it's definitely a place I can call home. A lot of people say an apartment isn't a home but it's is to me. I've lived in a lot of apartment complexes and dealt with a lot of management teams, but this one absolutely excels. I've renewed my lease once already and planning to do so many times. I highly recommend living here it's a quiet and cute community with a cute little gym and free laundry. I couldn't ask for anything better. It's definitely a great place to live”

“I live towards the back of the property and find it a quieter area without many problems. The shared area is very spacious even for 4 people. Bugs are an occasional annoyance but no major issues. The gym is well equipped for an apartment which is a great plus. Maintenance is reliable and staff like Misagh are very friendly! For the rent I am paying I find the value of this place on par.”
