Sam's Mart is a hidden gem with clean facilities, good down home southern hospitality, friendly faces & a good selection of things travellers need & want with easy access to & from I-40. I'm looking forward to coming back again & again. Absolutely better than the big chain truck stops!”

“This gas station is pretty bare bones. There's a couple of gas pumps outside and inside there are restrooms, but just one for toilet women and one for men. The snack selection is also pretty sparse but they did have a small selection of freeze dried fruit like blueberries, pineapples, mangoes, and strawberries. That's a fun little treat for the road! The beverage second is also pretty small (unless you're getting beer) and there is no soda fountain with ice. Try to make a stop before you enter North Carolina if you want a variety of snacks, beverages, ice and other things for your road trip. The staff are very nice and friendly definitely worth a stop if you need.”

“I never entered nor purchased anything on Friday evening, Aug 4, 2023, but rather had an incredibly scary incident at the gas pump. To Richard, Ofr Allison, the guy who bought me a coke, and everyone else whose goodwill and kindness saved the day, as if you all dropped down from heaven just for me. I got home to my little community safely. I went straight to Swain's ER and met even more strangers. I am home without any extreme damage, other than looking the way I do and an NFL sized football on my lower back. Thank you so so much for all of your time and care. I've been an overly patient caretaker for years now, but this was not necessarily the vacation I was looking for. “Super unique "convenience shop". They carry more groceries and goods than any other gas station around.If you need a thing or two and don't want to have to run to Ingles, this is your spot.They do not have gas pumps, but do carry kerosene fyi.”

“This gas station shares its space with a McDonalds restaurant. I was able to grab a couple of Red Bulls and some kiddo snacks. Staff was pleasant, and I was in/out in no time. Thanks”

“From slices to whole pizzas to make your own calzones...everything was great! Smokey's is indeed in a corner of the BP but the service more than makes up for the ambiance. If you're driving to or from Asheville, Smokey's is worth a stop.”
“A Sunoco gas station on the way to Maggie Valley. Plenty of pumps and parking. A banana, or Sour Patch Kids. Budweiser or Monster Mean Bean. They can accommodate either. Get your Viceroy's and a hotdog. $7.75 in Unleaded if your returning from Harrah's in Cherokee. I hope you get home. No she won't let you hold another 20. You should have stopped playing slots.”
