“Made a quick stop for some snacks and drinks and I sure am glad it was here! This place had some delicious boiled peanuts! There is also a historical site and information on the corner. The young lady working the counter was friendly and it was over all a great experience. I'll be stopping by here next time I'm around the way for some more peanuts!”
“Everything about the Lunch Box food menu is great. The cook can whip up a cheesesteak in minutes that have flavors bursting from start to finish. The only negative I can say about the Lunch Box is the feathers on their delicious fried chicken wings. They should hire a feather plucker.”

“Located in Fort Barnwell, NC it is the only place in this small community to purchase basic necessities. If on your way to Core Creek Landing this will most likely be a place to stop in and get your ice, sodas, snacks, and sometimes fuel for vehicles and or boats. Coffee and grill on site serving home cooked country breakfast, or lunch.Fuel is NOT always available so be sure to top off your fuel tanks before you get to this remote country location. Nearby cities/towns include Kinston, NewBern, Dover, & Cove City.”
