“Wow, now that's a bait and tackle store! I visited Betty's Outdoors trying to find certain items for my own fishing adventures. It's worth the drive to Walnut Cove from anywhere to finds over a hundred or so flavors for carp and catfish bait of local and regional origin. You can find current, popular and name brand products for fresh and saltwater fishing expeditions. By the way, there are several carp ponds nearby so it's conveniently located to get some action. To quote Arnold, "I"ll be back".”

“Great Food Lion well stocked with awesome employees. The store is always clean and and although it's not my regular store it's definitely the next one after that and I always have a good experience there.
If we're expecting wintery weather, you better get there first thing in the am because they're going to run out of milk, bread and more usually by the early afternoon. Stay prepared as much as possible friends and be patient with the stores employees because they are people who like you, are just doing their best during a difficult time.”
“Ingles Market is the cleanest grocery store that I have ever seen in my life thus far! The atmosphere is peaceful with a lot of different varieties of everything. The hot bar is spectacular!
The smoked potato salad was calling me! They have rotisserie chicken & turkey. The Ingles brand lemonade will blow your socks off! All around great experience! Keep it up Ingles, yaw got a fan!”
“Their salad bar is fabulous! Everything is clean, fresh and yummy! They have the neatest stuff in there! They have a Starbucks, you can get freshly made pizza, sushi, cheeses whole bunches of different cheeses, deli, wine, bakery. Different foods that you can't find at your regular grocery store. We got ready to go chicken and mashed sweet potato. The sweet potato was perfect. The chicken was moist and fresh. We got the boneless skinless chicken breast that is broken up and ready to top onto something or be prepped into something. It was not seasoned. The fried chicken looks delicious and you can tell it's well seasoned. We also got some cheesy broccoli soup, very yummy! From the salad bar I got 50/50 mix, mushrooms, olives, cucumber, cauliflower, broccoli, bacon, hard-boiled egg. Everything was clean and fresh. Stayed well in the fridge for a day or so.

“Teeters is nearly an hour from my home and I still shop there. My opinion is the freshest fruit/ veggies in the area when farmers markets are not opened yet for the season. Their sales are really good as well.”

“They're actually doing better at this Food Lion so I want to change my review. It's been cleaner and most employees are helpful. They have hired new employees and it's obvious that someone has trained them properly. I would keep an eye out for how they bag your groceries if you care about having your bread items possibly squishy or your other items damaged. I also have them double bag because their bags are really of poor quality.
Give it try and you can always find somewhere else if it's not to your liking.
Update: The employees have better attitudes and are very helpful for the most part which is nice to see. I'm back to shopping here regularly and I'm glad because I've been in the area for 20 years now and this was the first grocery store I frequented. So I can happily recommend them once again. :-)”
“Whicker's is a wonderful family owned store. They have regular merchandise but there is also fresh homegrown produce and if you're lucky Pat has made homemade ham biscuits. Be early because they go quickly. Even though it's much like any other convenience store the smiles and warm greetings bring to mind better days. I absolutely love this place and I hope the store and the people continue to endure the lure of a city attitude.”

“Typical Dollar General. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. Everything you need from toiletries, shirts, crossword puzzles, balloons or just a drink and a candy bar. Public bathroom, just ask for the key. Tight isles from all the stock. Staff may be busy and not at the check out, just grunt out or cough loudly and someone will come help.”
