When they called me to pick her up i was surprised how beautiful she looked. She walked to me so excited and happy. I Loved this place! The guy in front i think was the owner was very kind to me. The girl who groom my princess Gracie I forgot her name but she is hispanic from PR and she is super excellent and very lovely the way she care for what she does and have a lot of knowledge. She well explained me everything she did to Gracie and gave me few tips knowing that is the first pet I ever had. Looking forward for her appt in march. 200% reccomended this place!

We have routine vet tech appointments and my dog came back to the lobby tail wagging and happy. The visit was thoroughly explained and they happily answered any questions. We’ve had to relocate a few times and I always can tell if a vet is a good fit for my dog, he seemed pleased and happy with this visit. We will continue to use Bayshore.

Any time we call we are seen in a very timely manor. I have adopted senior cats and they all needed special care, Dr. Howard is always so kind and takes time to explain everything to us. Our one dog was recently diagnosed with kidney diseas. Dr. Howard was quick to get us to the right people and place. My husband and myself feel very secure about taking our pets to Carolina Forest Animal Clinic and Dr. Howard has been a blessing to us. can't recommend him and his staff enough.

He handled our dog with so much care; it is obvious he loves what he does and loved our dog as well. Our dog learned so much and responded so well to the training, our family is finally able to take him on a walk (for reference our dog is a 70lb GSD)!! Completely worth our time and money, definitely recommend!!

Being my husband's baby and her being a source of comfort for him with his own anxiety and PTSD Camp Mutt went ABOVE AND BEYOND to meet all of our needs. Kristin and her team gave us the time and effort we needed to get his girl back in a happy place! Weeks after graduating she remains happy and confident and now is eager to meet new friends wherever we go. Meeting strangers was very difficult for her, ears and tail tucked, growling, and now, tail wags and kisses for everyone! Because of Camp Mutt and all of the amazing people there, my home is calm and peaceful again!! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for being sooo amazing with Ava!!

I couldn’t drink coffee for about a month and just went back yesterday and was disappointed in the fact prices were even higher than they were before. Don’t think I’ll be returning often sadly since my latte was almost $9 for a 20oz iced latte with nothing special added. I do love the vape shop attached though and the workers in there have always been friendly and helpful with recommendations.

From the second you walk up to their charming storefront, you know you're in for something special. Here is a breakdown of why this spot easily earns a glowing 5-star review:
The Atmosphere: Historic Charm Meets Modern Chic. The owners have done an incredible job blending a cozy, historic setting with a trendy, upscale aesthetic.
As you order at the main counter, you're greeted by gorgeous exposed brick and beautiful, warm hanging light fixtures. Tucked away into the dining space, they feature a stunning geometric gold-and-white accent wall paired with an eye-catching lime green dresser and intimate seating. It’s casual, incredibly welcoming, and absolutely perfect for a relaxed dine-in experience.
The Food: Next-Level Artisan Sandwiches. The menu is packed with clever, high-quality selections, artisan sandwiches, organic coffees, fresh smoothies, and house-made sides.
The Classic Reuben ($14): I ordered this beauty, and it is easily one of the best Reubens I've ever had. The corned beef was perfectly tender, stacked high with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, all grilled to perfection on gorgeous marble rye. I paired it with their Pasta, Arugula, & Pine Nut Salad, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful.
The Mikey ($15): My wife ordered this one, which is a bold tribute to a Boston firefighter. It’s a massive, satisfying sub roll stacked with premium capicola, sharp provolone, prosciutto, and mortadella. A portion of the proceeds from this sandwich goes directly to the local fire department. Delicious food with a heart for the community!
Service & Convenience. The hospitality here is top-notch. The staff is fast, attentive, and genuinely proud of the food they're serving. Whether you are looking to sit down and enjoy the trendy space, grab a quick takeout order, use curbside pickup, or get delivery straight to your door, they have made the entire experience seamless.
Bistro 1940 is exactly what downtown Jacksonville needed. Incredible food, exceptional hospitality, and a gorgeous space. We will definitely be regular fixtures here!

That employee did not lie the cheesesteak was great. Definitely in my top 3 for NC so far. The place reminds you of a burger place up north and I love it. Look great and taste great. I'd love to eat in but I never have time. The ambiance of the store definitely has a great look and feel to it. I would definitely be back and recommend this place to others. I wish JT still worked there. He was an amazing cook!

Inside they have comfortable seating for those wanting to sit and relax a bit and offer various food and drinks. I've enjoyed ordering their Chai shake and my husband has enjoyed their brown sugar latte. The employees are very nice and we're able to give our order and get our drinks fairly quickly. Overall, a nice alternative to other coffee places around and I would recommend this location.
