“Wow, what a hidden gem! This general store has all the basics you could need and really yummy food. We were in town for a few days hiking Grayson Highlands and ended up stopping by every day for snacks and dinner items.
What first caught our eye was the giant CINNAMON ROLLS sign. They were amazing!!
The owners are super down-to-earth and so nice to chat with. Hearing how they’ve bounced back after Hurricane Helene was really inspiring. You can tell they care about their customers and their community.
We really wish we didn’t live so far away, and hope to come back soon!

“Fantastic southern lunch: crisp bacon BLT, beautiful ripe tomatoes, fried okra and blueberry cheese cake pie. Also many burgers and even veggie burgers! My husband loved his burger. But the best, in my opinion, was the home-made butterscotch pie---to die for. The lady who waited on us was kind and brought us extra goodies, as did the owner. I'm coming back for breakfast tomorrow. It's also about 1.2 miles from the AT, and so worth it if you like home cooking!”
“I didn't actually stop here as I was across the road on the other corner. But I have stopped there in the past. Nice store, great starting point to grab a drink before following the river.”

“My experience was great. Super down to earth people. Customer service - 10/10. I only spent abiut $20 bucks and they were generous enough to offer me a free sample of a item I had never tried before and I was unsure the quality of the product was as good as they were saying. I just figured they delivered a really good and convincing up-sell pitch on why I should buy the product. Needless to say, I’ll be back within the next hour and a half ?and I’ll be shopping there more from now on!”

They change their specials daily, and no lack of food portions either, three of us had the philly sandwich, spiced potatoes and onion rings, another friend had the pulled pork. We all recommend it highly! Wished I had taken a picture of our sandwiches!”

“Small country gas with Hunt Brothers Pizza - Hot pizza fresh daily. if you are in the area this is the only hot food except in Lansing Restraint and Pie on the Mountain about 5 miles on down the road. This is the only gas for now for 18 miles without going up Big Horse creek. On the road and easy to get out and turn around to go in a U turn. Friendly folk run the place.”
