“Even though it's self service on the gas pumps there are 2 employees that will come out and ask me if I need assistance with pumping my own gas. They didn't do it because they were looking a tip and they weren't doing it just to flirt with me. They did it because they knew both of my knees caps are wearing away at an astonishing rate and it's hard for me to get out of my car and they just wanted to help me. Plus they were young, probably no more than 18 and it's hard to find such respectful, hard working guys with the best manners I've ever seen in a teenager. My son needs to hang out with these 2 precious young men. To be honest though, the oldest one did ask me out several times but I had to thank him and let him know that he was a few years younger than my son so I didn't think it would look right.”

“I'm pretty sure I've left a review already, but I can't get enough of this place. I came through the other day on my way to the Smithfield outlet mall. I had to stop at the truck stop to get some freeze-dried candy. It's so yummy. While you're there, check out the cool souvenirs they have in the gift shop.”

“Family Fare BP on 401 Ward Blvd in Wilson, NC is easily one of the best gas stations in the area. The store is always clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with everything from drinks and snacks to everyday essentials. The fountain drinks and coffee are fresh, and the food options are surprisingly good for a convenience store — definitely above the usual gas-station experience. Customer service here stands out. The staff is friendly, quick, and helpful, and they treat you like a regular even if it’s your first visit. The bathrooms are very clean, which says a lot about how well this place is maintained. Gas prices are consistently competitive, especially with their rewards program, which makes a noticeable difference over time. The pumps are easy to use, the parking lot is well-lit, and the whole location feels safe and convenient — right along Ward Blvd, with plenty of space to get in and out. Overall, a top-notch stop for fuel, snacks, drinks, and great service. If you’re passing through or live in Wilson, Family Fare BP on Ward Blvd is absolutely worth choosing every time. ?⛽??”

“I went to this store and was counting out my measly nickels for a pack of cigs. The OTHER cashier, Chelle, said my cigs were $2 off if you buy 2 packs (getting them sales!) but I only had enough for one. She asked how much I was short ($2) and then offered to cover it. What an angel! Thank you, Chelle!!! I hope the management realizes her value as she probably saved lives with her generosity to a stranger, ensured that I will always buy my cigs from this speedway and helped me feel like the world is a better place than it actually is and I think that alone should be enough for a decent raise. I'd say about $2/hr?”

“I was driving down I95 when I noticed my tire pressure light was on. I pulled off at the next exit - fortunate for me. Although it did not appear as if I had a problem, I had several hours of driving left ahead of me. I found Lamm's Service Station about 3 miles off the interstate. They brought my car right in , and we discovered a piece of metal punctured the sidewall of my tire. They had a replacement tire in stock and fixed my car right away. I was back on the road in great shape in about an hour and a half.Nice and honest people!”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
