“Yesterday I had a sidewall tire puncture. The day was fast getting away from me. I threw the spare i on and headed over to Black‘s Tire and Auto. They literally had me back out the door in 15 minutes with a new, affordable tire. The tech double checked pressure and had me in my way. I tried to tip him for such acceptable service and he absolutely refused to take money (his word) for just doing his job. Great experience!”

“I can’t say enough about the guys at Performance Rovers! They do great work without charging dealership prices. I like to work on my own vehicles, and Michael has been a wealth of information for me. He takes time to answer questions when I call, and even calls back to check up on how my work went. I take my Rovers to them for troubleshooting, which saves me a lot of time and keeps me from just throwing parts at the vehicles. They have been very accurate all the time. They also do Pre Purchase Inspections! I took the second Rover to them before I bought it and they gave it a clean bill of health! And that’s the Rover with zero issues! Like I said, I can’t say enough about these guys”

“Dan is the absolute best for anything transmission related. He rebuilt the 4L60E in my 2002 Tahoe for towing my 6k~ lbs car trailer. His customer service, attention to detail, and knowledge about transmissions is impeccable. There's no one better in the Charlotte area to go to. If you need transmission work done, take it here. 10/10.
2025 update:
Tahoe trans is still holding up great after 20k miles. Took Dan my 09 Civic Si 6 speed manual because it wasn't going into gear. He installed a clutch kit, flywheel, master, slave, and rebuilt the transmission with new synchro's and bearings. It's as smooth as butter!”

At every turn, this Mavis manager and staff were friendly, highly responsive, and when there was an unforeseen difficulty made it right with compassion, ease, and service unparalleled by any automotive shop I've been to in 40 years of car ownership.
Although I was there for critical tire replacement that was a safety hazzard, they were able to fold in other critical services I needed, without delay and with exceptional quality! This Mavis manager got the tires I needed in quickly and was even able to change to a different tire, upon my request, the same day. Despite my limited time constraints, they fit me in to get the work done.
Without asking they folded in every discount available that I didn't even know about. The prices are great!
This is the only shop I'll go to! 10's across the board!!!”
