“I cannot believe I am writing this!! I detest going to any Food Lion! I have never been assisted when I am looking for something. All the employees are rude as heck!
However, a friend gifted me a few of their gift cards. I spent one close to me, and the experience was horrible. Today I needed to grab a few things. My little one is graduating Pre-K tomorrow, and I’m making a few dishes for her as a dinner celebration. So I decided to go to the one in Cary.
I wasn’t having a terrible experience but still nothing to write home about (I usually shop at Publix for this reason)
Any who I am on the hunt for liquid smoke, which has eluded me both times I was on aisle 1. So I’m going by the registers, and a few cashiers are standing in front of their lanes, and I pause and ask one where I might find the liquid smoke. I show her a pic, and she says, “Hold on and pull up the app on her phone.” Shamefully, I admit I did not know they had an app, but that tracks as most food stores have an app now. She says it’s on aisle 1, and I say I have been down it a few times and I must be overlooking it. As I prepare to walk away and head back to aisle 1, she asks if I would like her to help me find it. 😲
I say yes, she hits her light (no one is in line at the moment) and comes to help me find it. Which we did, and I definitely overlooked the very tiny bottle 🫠.
She was free when I went to checkout and was super pleasant and very sweet to my daughter, who she gave stickers. This lovely lady’s name was Jessica. She made my trip I usually dread a wonderful one! Thank you so much!! Truly!!!!!!”
“This review is for pick-up service only. I don't think I've ever physically been in this location. I've done 3 pick-up orders from this store (covid life) because my closer store didn't have things I needed in stock. I've been able to get wipes of some kind each time! (WIN!) and most of what I needed. I had to call to notify the store I arrived because the app wasn't working too well twice when I arrived. The associate answering the phone was not very friendly (stereotypical Walmart to me). I will give the staff that bring the stuff to your car the highest marks though! They are really great, friendly, and prompt. I've only had one issue with an order.”

I had been looking for Sheermal bread and Roasted Vermicellis everywhere in Cary, and I saw Al Kareem Grocery and thought I'd give it a try! “The largest dollar tree in the area and they have a price scanner! No dollar tree in Durham, Cary, apex, or Raleigh has that. Good location, easy to find parking, and clean. They have a lot of popular items in the cosmetic aisle.”
“Good store that has many products from different states of India. The owners are friendly and helpful. Fresh produce area is clean and well maintained. The samosas and snack counter is of excellent quality although the samosa size is getting smaller and smaller 😂

“Even though this Walmart is not the closest one to my house, this Walmart is my go-to. The friendly staff there makes the Neighborhood Walmart more like a Home Walmart. The last time I went I was helped by a very kind-hearted staff woman named Leera. I will be coming back and telling my friends.”
“Had a wonderful experience at Spices Hut Indian Groceries and Restaurant. The chef was kind enough to prepare a fresh vegetarian biryani for us, and it was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The masala chai was authentic and one of the best I've had in a long time. We also tried the paneer curry and dal, both of which were outstanding and tasted homemade. Great food, warm hospitality, and a truly satisfying meal. Definitely a 5/5 experience!”

“Friendly and helpful staff. Some unusual products, as well as their own brand versions. Wide variety of unusual premade raviolis in the fridge section - including dairy and gluten free. Fantastic selection of nuts and dried fruits. I like the dried coconut strips, dried mango, and candied ginger as snacks.”
