“Border station is a good place to stop on your way to the OBX. It seems that it has changed ownership. It’s more like a typical convenience store now. Still a good place to stop. The BBQ restaurant is really good.”
“This Wawa is right by us so we are here often. The kids always love to get icees and the coke free style machine is nice. The food we get from the deli is usually made pretty well, but it does seem like their soup selection is always the same. We never see the loaded baked potato soup anymore. This is a pretty busy Wawa, and one thing I do not recommend is coming here on the weekend. It gets very chaotic here, and it is even worse during high travel times to where people are parking at neighboring parking lots and lines are forming for gas pumps. Overall this is one of the better Wawas I have been to, and they do also have Tesla charging stations if needed, although I see lots of trucks and non-EV vehicles park in them.”
“Delicious food! wonderful staff, they’re always helpful and kind every time I walk in. Snacks always hit the spot.Honestly wouldn’t normally order tuna from a gas station BUT they’re so much more than that, Ari & kk know what’s up and the tuna wrap definitely hit the spot!!!”

“Despite attempts to eat healthy....walked in for quick breakfast and saw their sausage egg biscuit and wasn't able to say no. It tasted completely home made and fresh including sausage. I'm glad I don't live closer...because I'd be eating these every day!”
“My go to place to stop for gas and get drinks! The gas prices here are very competitive! The store is very clean, Melody the associate in the morning is very friendly and nice. The prices in the store are slightly higher than if you went down to Wawa but, this store is very easy to get in and out of. Very good place to stop and get quick items from!”
“This pit stop has everything: gas, clean restrooms, the largest selection of beverages and snacks I've ever seen, a snack bar, hand dipped ice cream, lotto (VA and NC since this building is situated right on top of the border--hence the name), OBX merch and souvenirs, take-home barbeque, and lots of regional products. What's a regional product, you ask? They have Stuckey's products, McCutcheons jams and such, and Wells barbeque sauce, a staple in my house. We buy two jugs to last us a year between trips to the Outer Banks, can't can't can't live without it! They have teeny tiny 18oz. bottles for the babies, and one gallon jugs for the adults, take yer pick. Basically The Border Station is the best pit stop on the East Coast, my oasis on my way to or from the OBX.”

“New and Good store with hot coffee. Clean store and clean bathrooms. Friendly customer service. Genuinely just a really nice place. This was my first visit to this store since it was built. I remember when they started building it the last time I was on my way to the outer banks.”
