“This gas station is quick, lovely staff, and efficient but the bathroom doesn’t seem to be cleaned regularly. The toilets are unusable if you’re a woman. Pizza is always a good choice though.”

“Update 2025: Hot Spot has really upped their game. They completely revamped the pumps and facility. It looks nice and is clean. My wife and I even stop by from time to time and get some ice cream. People are friendly. Still have issues getting a receipt at the pumps but overall it’s a to better. I’m changing to 4 stars. If they could make diesel covered and in a better location/access it could be 5 stars and get those pumps to print a receipt.
Place is really looking run down. Can't seem to ever get a printout of a reciept. Broken air pump for tires. It seems as if nobody cares about the appearance.”
“There are plenty of convenience marts, SERVICE makes a difference. The staff at Joe Brown Quick Mart are always friendly, helpful, and engaging. Plus, they make an awesome BBQ SANDWICH! It's almost a daily ritual for several of us at the shop.”

“Walgreens in Murphy, NC continues to provide customer service that is second to none. You can always count on the staff to assist no matter how busy the store or pharmacy is. The Pharmacy Staff should be commended for their ability to work in this high pressure area with limited resources. Customers need to be a little more patient and permit the staff to do their jobs safely and not expect instant gratification just because you feel your RX is any more important than those who came before you. Great job Pharmacy Staff, you truly are the best of the best!!!”

“Omg! We just moved down the street from this awesome place. I went in for something for lunch. What!?? Homemade sandwiches? Today we tried the Italian subs. Phenomenal. I ordered dinner for tonight as it was chicken parm casserole night. I picked them up later and reheated for dinner. Oh my! It also came with garlic bread and a salad! What a wonderful place! We are never leaving Murphy and I may never cook again!”
