“Quail Ridge Books is a Raleigh institution. They always have great books in stock, awesome programming, and a community mindset. Everyone on staff is so friendly and helpful. This place is a must visit for locals and visitors alike!”
“This resource for homeschooling has an abundance of options. Actually it can be overwhelming unless you know specifically what you are looking for. There are boxes of used and outdated items on the porch for bargain hunters. The best advice is to know what is required for what you need to teach.”
“Super cool previously loved book shop. Cool dudes working in there who knew instantly where to find the books I was looking for. Be sure to check out the hella random pics and posts all over the store, starting with the sign on the front door.”
“As mixed media artist based in North Carolina specializing in video game and anime-inspired creations, I’ve had the pleasure of vending at Anime Paradaisu’s events over the past few years. I must say, they played a huge part in my growth and presence as an artist/crafter. Being part of their markets has helped me connect with customers, other artists, and really find my footing locally. From my experience, it’s very clear that they care about their vendors and are passionate about creating a welcoming space for both anime lovers and creatives!
What stands out most is their commitment to vendor well-being. They are one of the few event organizers I’ve worked with who actively prioritize the health and comfort of their artists - such as providing water, adjusting booth placements for restroom accessibility, and even making difficult decisions (like rescheduling due to severe weather) to ensure everyone’s safety. That level of consideration speaks volumes about their integrity.
Communication leading up to events is always organized and timely, which makes preparation less stressful as a small business owner. When I encountered a scheduling conflict, Tabitha was incredibly prompt and accommodating.
More recently, they transitioned their market from outdoor tents to an indoor venue. Renting a large space and organizing an effective vendor layout is no small undertaking, but they rose to the challenge and created a setup that allowed customers to easily access and discover artists. For me, their willingness to adapt and evolve as community demonstrates incredible dedication.
As a vendor, I’ve consistently had positive interactions with customers at their events. I truly appreciate their continued growth and care for the artists they work with, and I look forward to vending with them again. I highly recommend Anime Paradaisu to both fellow artists and attendees.
Thank you AP for always welcoming me in the marketplace! :)

“This local book shop specializes in selling gently used books and most are only $3! 🤩 The selection changes on a regular basis and they often highlight books based on the season, a holiday, or some other theme. 📚 They usually have a small selection of brand new books (at full price) as well as an interesting, unique selection of old and antique books. There’s also a good section of kids books — my daughter always finds something that she wants! Honestly I never leave this store empty handed. 😊 The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. You can also donate your used books to earn store credit, which I’ve done a few times.”
“We love Barnes and Nobles.
The staff are helpful and its clean.
My only concern is the disrespectful customer that hog the tables, the dogs ( pets) that are allowed, not service animals, and the bathroom sometimes is dirty. People just dont clean after themselves sometimes. We try not use it.”
“Cute little bookstore. Very spacious and seems like a great place for events. They had a nice selection of newly released books, but I found their overall selection to be a bit underwhelming.”
“I love a good bookstore and not every bookstore is cozy, comfortable and gives good vibes. But this location gives all the good vibes and I love coming here. whether it’s studying or coming here with family, we all mosey around read books get coffee all the things!”
“One of my favorite places! However they need more attention to customer checkout at the front. Only one person checking at the front when I checked out around 4:30. She was doing a great job but there was a line of about 15 people waiting and it stretched all the way back into the discounted book section. I’ve worked in retail so I know this may not have been normal since it’s still holiday season, but surely one more clerk could have been spared to help out until the line was cleared out a bit! Also membership system was down. Also a hazard in retail during busy season I know. Once again I commend your employee for her calm and pleasant attitude in making each customer feel they were important and appreciated. I really felt bad for her not getting any help.”
“Nice Price Books is such a gem. They have a great selection of books, from popular favorites to unique finds, and the atmosphere makes it easy to spend way more time browsing than you planned. The store feels welcoming, cozy, and well organized, with friendly staff and plenty to discover around every corner. Definitely a great local staple for book lovers and one of my favorite places to visit. 📚✨”
“Easy and friendly, great service and helpful service. I mentioned i was looking for a book for my daughter's birthday and they knew it right off the bat and were nice enough to order it for me. Within a week they had called me and emailed as I requested and my daughter was crazy about it”

“The scholastic warehouse book fair was amazing! Buy one box and get one free, so for two boxes of new books it was $30. The workers and volunteers were helpful and friendly. They even had some free posters near checkout. Definitely, will be going back on and hopefully towards the first day of the sale. I went on the 4-5th day, and they still had a good selection but going on the first day would have been even better. My coworker and I split the cost and each got one box for $15. For the one box, I filled up with about 33-35 books, a thing of flash cards, a few fun pens (Harry Potter wands), a few pencil cases and a miniature cell phone with markers.”
“Staff is very nice. Prices on apparel are decent compared to normal college wear. Besides apparel, you can find all small stuff you may need also. For example: basic school supplies, basic toiletry needs, batteries, etc.”
“This is my special needs favorite store to visit when we come to the Raleigh area. The staff are always so kind and engaging with her and she is able to talk about her favorite shows and comics. Thank you for making her feel included”

“So this place is in an antique shop called Cheshire’s cat. We had a hard time finding it at first because there was no store front anywhere. Glad we found it! The entire antique shop was huge and super cool but this place was our favorites. Lots of vintage books, magazines, and more. If you like historical relics this place is for you!”

“I read the reviews after I had already order a laptop so I decided to cancel my order and just buy a laptop from Apple directly and they cancelled it within 24 hrs after I sent the email. I'm going to also opt out of the book program because I know I'm terrible at returning things.”
“OMG, I couldn’t decide between the brown sugar peach scone and the miso chocolate chip cookie, so naturally I got both. And I am so glad I did!! Both were phenomenal!! The miso was perfectly salty and savory with the sweet chewy cookie. And the barista said they heard customers say the peach scone tastes like a peach cobbler, and it definitely did. Nice and moist, with real peach chunks, and perfectly not too sweet. Bookstore vibes were beautiful, I will for sure be coming back to try other stuff on the menu. Great job guys!!! 🤩”
