“Great car rental service! The team is extremely helpful in any situation. The office had excellent customer service, and one staff member was particularly valuable. My relative and I picked up our vehicle on a Friday. He rented a compact car, while I opted for a spacious SUV that was comfortable to drive. The only downside was a feature that I didn't fully understand—it seemed to cause the car to cut off when braking, and then restart when releasing the brake, which was a bit distracting. However, back to the service: despite the office being busy as it had just opened, the staff member took the time to attend to each customer with politeness. She assured everyone that she would assist them shortly and expressed her gratitude for their patience. Although she was the only one working, she handled the situation diligently, maintaining a smile and a positive demeanor throughout!”

“Rented on a Sunday, which is a plus. Star loss was that the car was not there upon my arrival. I waited about 25-30 minutes. But the service was good overall. No hoops or hurdles. Staff smiled and communicated about the progress and offered apologies for the delay. The return was even better and I was able to get car service back home.
Second rental at end of week, was even better. Was welcomed back, I was impressed by the memory as I am sure they see lots of customers in a week. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The return was great. Meet at the car by staff. Took all needed info. Signed the iPad and off I went back into my own vehicle. Overall the best car rental experiences in the past 5 years!!! “This was my first time ever renting a car, and I had no idea where to begin. After using ChatGPT and doing some research, I found that Budget was one of the most affordable and reliable options. Out of all the locations near me, this one had the highest rating — and now I understand why.
I’m giving this location a full 5 stars, and a big part of that is because of Ahmad.
After I confirmed and prepaid for my rental online, I called the location directly with a few questions. Ahmad explained that economy vehicles aren’t always guaranteed because they often come from the airport. Even though I had a reservation, he took the time to explain the process clearly, and he was incredibly honest and patient with me. He asked me to stay in touch and to call him the day before pickup so he could personally try to secure a gas (non-electric) vehicle for me — something that mattered to me since I’m not familiar with charging electric cars.
The morning I arrived, Ahmad took care of me immediately. He was professional, welcoming, and already prepared for my arrival. He let me know that the gas car available had some damage to the backseat, and without me even asking, he documented everything in the system so I wouldn’t be charged when returning the car in Georgia. I don’t have any major credit cards (so I used my debit) and my credit score could be better which also worried me as I did not want to arrive the morning of pick up and be told that I did not qualify - but after asking the right questions (and I asked the customer service line and Ahmad about 20 in total) - that level of detail and care meant a lot, especially for a first-time renter.
The car itself arrived slightly dirty on the outside, but I was still out the door in about 20 minutes. The Chevrolet Malibu drove smoothly, and even after driving 246 miles, I still had plenty of gas left.
Ahmad went above and beyond. He was transparent, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to making sure my experience was smooth from start to finish. His professionalism turned something I was nervous about into something simple and stress-free.
I will absolutely be returning to this location and plan to rent from here again for my trip in January.”

“My experience with this Hertz location was challenging but the staff made good efforts to help in the face of corporate locations like this vs franchise locations.
I rented a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta with around 11,000 miles on it for a business trip. An hour and a half into my three-hour drive, a warning light indicated the engine was overfilled with oil and needed servicing. I spent nearly an hour on the phone with roadside assistance, only to find out they couldn’t provide a replacement car, despite several Hertz locations being nearby, without me expending more money on another rental. The employee at the call center was rude, even though I tried to stay positive about the situation.
I learned through this process that this Raleigh location is a "corporate location," and Hertz doesn’t freely swap cars between “corporate” and “franchise” locations, leaving me stranded despite other nearby Hertz locations.
To make matters worse, the only viable option roadside assistance offered (besides driving 1.5 hours back and restarting) was to take a detour to a Pep Boys in Fayetteville for an oil service with a voucher. I did and waited almost 3 hours at a shop with broken air conditioning.
Turns out the car, according to the window sticker, was last serviced by Take 5 at or around the 10k service interval. The drain plug and filter were loose. And they’d overfilled it. Photos confirm.
The manager of this location was apologetic and a victim of circumstances as much as I. But I do wish I had my time back and I had been able to make the meeting I missed that day because of travel delays.
I will try them one more time based on the manager’s efforts to help.”

“I want to recognize Kameron at the Hertz RDU pick-up location for going above and beyond to help me after a long, stressful day of travel. My credit card was having issues, and instead of rushing me or showing frustration, Kameron took the time to block off his lane with a cone so I could safely step aside, call my bank, and resolve the issue without pressure.
What stood out most was his patience, respect, and professionalism — he never showed attitude while we waited, even though it was taking extra time. After flying from Dallas to Florida, then Florida to North Carolina (after missing an earlier flight that morning), I was exhausted and stressed. Meeting someone like Kameron who handled my situation with care truly made a difference.
It’s worth noting this Hertz location is not inside the airport but rather the place you go to pick up your vehicle. Having someone like Kameron there made the experience so much smoother, and I’m grateful for his support during a difficult travel day.”

My two granddaughters are in Wheelchairs and do not have a mobility van so to be able to rent one to take them all over was the best feeling in the world. They were so happy.
