“I super love going. To this store other than the fact they need to clean up the front outsode area and they need to repaint the parking lot and offer more deals for their items and maybe do a change abkkt to the isles to make it more upgraded ! Their service even down to young men is amazing and makes you feel like they have respect and appreciate your services as a customer and want you to come back ! The fact that they offer so much customer service at their business station area is for sure the best part and their deli got good plates are really good during the lunch and early dinner hrs !”

“VERY good grocery store! My parents and I absolutely HATE the Pittsboro Food Lion. The Sanford one is better than Pittsboro one. It's always easy to find stuff at this one, and they have very nice employees at this one. If you are looking for a Food Lion in the area, this is the one.”
“Ms.Becky in the bakery saved my grandsons birthday party today!! A little backstory… my daughter ordered a Dinosaur cupcake cake from Walmart 3 weeks ago. She got the order confirmation text on Saturday 7/26 saying your order will be ready by 9 am on Sunday 7-27. This morning 7/27 she went to pick up the cake and was told “ oh we don’t have water someone was suppose to call you and cancel the order” . My daughter left out of there in tears and went straight to this Food Lion . She told Ms. Becky what just happened and told my daughter to give her 30 mins and she would have her a Dinosaur cake ready. This was my grandsons 2nd Birthday and his favorite thing is a ? ! Needless to say this lady went above and beyond and to make today special. A million thank you’s!!”
“Love this store. This is my favorite place to shop. It is high end and the prices do represent this, however the quality is also there. They have Delicious gorgeous beautiful baked goods. Their smoked meats are wonderful and they're deli. Food is equally as delicious. A lot of nights. This is where I'll get my dinner on my way home from work. So the extra price is worth it!. My only complaint would be it's hard to find stuff even though all the rows are labeled. They aren't labeled very well. However their staff is truly fabulous about helping you find what you need.”
“Subject: Compliment for a wonderful employee at the Sanford store
I would like to share a compliment about an employee working at the Food Lion at 1931 S Horner Blvd in Sanford, NC this morning, around 9:30–10:00 a.m., at the customer service desk.
My husband and I stopped in briefly while traveling so we could quickly use the restroom and then grab food and snacks for the day. We had our adult cousin with us, who has special needs. We asked her to meet us by the bathroom and then return to the van so we could get her what she needed.
While we were in the restroom, she snuck away to get a drink she is not allowed to have and thought she could do this without us noticing and wandered toward the front of the store instead of the bathroom (which were nicely clean btw).
She had a dollar someone had given her and became fixated on getting a bottled Starbucks coffee from the cooler. She did not have enough money for it and, due to health reasons, she is not allowed to have coffee and high sugar foods and drinks. She can sometimes be very persuasive with people when she becomes focused on something, and this is how she ended up with the dollar in the first place.
The employee working at the customer service desk showed incredible compassion. She saw my cousin and believed she might be struggling, and out of kindness she actually paid for the drink with her own money to help my cousin.
At the time, I did not know where my cousin had gone. When we came out and couldn’t find her, I was running through the aisles and in and out of the store in a complete panic trying to locate her. When we finally found her walking outside with the coffee, I immediately returned it to the employee and explained the situation.
In that moment I was overwhelmed and frightened, and while I did thank her, I’m afraid my tone may have sounded harsh because I was in full panic mode trying to make sure my cousin was safe and embarrassed to have to explain that she uses a lot of manipulation to get things she obsesses over.
I want to make sure this employee knows that her kindness did not go unnoticed. The compassion she showed toward someone she believed might be struggling speaks volumes about her character. She treated my cousin with dignity and care, and that kind of empathy is something you cannot train—it comes from the heart. She is an absolute sweetheart. And she was a true champ when I was acting like a spastic basket case.
I truly believe she deserves recognition for the way she cares for people. Please extend my appreciation to the employee who was working the customer service desk at that time. I also want to apologize if I seemed abrupt when we spoke. My reaction was driven entirely by fear while trying to locate my cousin. I wish I had gotten her name. Again, I am a spaz and my brain didn't focus on getting her name.
Your employee demonstrated genuine kindness and humanity, and I’m very grateful for that. Her empathy, her compassion is like a breath of fresh air!”

“La Cumpliadora is one of the larger Mexican markets in central NC with a vast selection of products. The variety and authenticity of the items are impressive, offering a taste of Mexico at home. However, the prices are considerably high when compared elsewhere, which makes it less accessible for many. If you're looking for specific Mexican ingredients or want to indulge in some specialty items, it's worth a visit. (Maybe even just for the pan dulce)”
“I used to HATE this store due to it's management, lack of items in stock, how messy it always was, and how you never knew if you were going to have a good experience with their staff or not. I would only shop here due to it's convenience of location. Today, BRITTANY changed it all for me! I put her name in bold because I want everyone to know it was all thanks to her.
I came in and Brittany greeted me with the warmest and kindest welcome I have ever received at ANY retail establishment. She had a huge smile on her face and was just so warm and welcoming. When I went to checkout, I was having issues with my cards and she was patient with me. Her kind demeaner turned my stressful day around a full 180.
I know turnover is very high, especially at this location, please keep Brittany! Give her all the hours she wants, ideal schedule, pay raise, whatever is needed to keep her. Clone her if you can! She is the type of employee this location, and all, truly need.
