“Home Depot in Shallotte. I’ve recently moved to the area and have never experienced a Home Depot like the one in Shallotte. I’m made to feel like I’m in a local hardware store - I know the names of employees (Stephanie, Connor) who go out of their way to make you feel like a special customer. Stephanie in particular (sold me washer, dryer and refrigerator) goes above and beyond to engage, guide and advise. And does so in a way that’s very conversational and unrushed.

The women at the self checkout. Very helpful, happy friendly employees. M

Even a stranger in the parking lot helped with a tie down when he saw me having a problem with it.

I’ve been to many Home Depot stores in Massachusetts (my old home state) and I don’t remember much about them except that they are big and unfriendly places.

“Typical Home Depot store and layout. Easy to find what I needed and they had everything I required for my projects. The staff was super nice. similar to Lowe’s, they now put so many things in the aisle to grab your attention sometimes it’s difficult to get your cart through the aisle. I wish they would open the aisles back up and make it easier for multiple customers to pass through at the same time.”

“Bang up job on the customer service dept, tried making keys at the kiosk inside; kiosk only accepts exact change OR card which isn’t labeled on the kiosk; or at least anywhere on eyeshot, after alerting an employee I needed to break change I was sent halfway across the store with $20 inside and my key locked ; after asking for charge I got an unappealing unapologetic “I can’t make change here”

On top of finally “let me call a manager”

I informed the woman that my money was inside the machine as well as my keys and was told “the manger can’t meet you over there”

So now, after 10 minutes the sale was canceled, my money was taken with no service and now I’ve got a runaround with your kiosk company to get my $20 back. Idk about you but sure sounds like work I now have to do now due to literal lack of care or customer service of your own staff.

Customer service isn’t hard unless you have the personality of a cactus, thanks for the help, I’ll work on getting my email or money back from the company which I have no way of even knowing how this is going to work being I don’t have a recipt or way to even claim this situation. This one really pisses me off because I don’t have the time or the money to be just wasting like this. Not pleased not happy, and really disappointed with yet another visit with this Lowes (last time took you guys 3 trips, 3 separate dryers and about a month and a half to bond the neutral wires together to get a dryers heaters working, don’t worry tho I did that for your installers as well)

EDIT: Had a chance to speak to Travis since the incident on Friday. Travis did his part to make sure I was heard and resolved the issue. Thank you for addressing this.”
