“A great little market with friendly vendors, reasonable prices, plentiful parking, and a nice variety of offerings (in season). Local produce, eggs, honey, and meat, plus a hodgepodge of crafts, flowers, and whatnot. It's best to go in the first 2-3 hours, both to avoid some heat and to ensure items don't run out.”
“I frequent the dollar general often. I pay my phone bill there, do some minor shopping and in a pinch buy motor oil or car care products. Prices are comparable to Walmart but it always seems like the shelves are never stocked. They need better help and it would be a great store”

“Although I don't shop for groceries here, I do enjoy the hot bar several times a week, for lunch. This is the best deal for take out, period. Good food, good choices, great price. Forget all of those losers with drive thru service and over priced "meals". Go to Ingles and walk to the back, right corner of the store for the best deal at lunch or dinner.”
“We were/are traveling. After a long day on the road we just didn’t want to do another restaurant or fast food. We found fresh fruit and pre-made salad’s, bread and dessert to take to our hotel. All for less than something McHappy. Our cashier was pleasant and speedy. Thanks for being an oasis off the highway.”
“While the Food Lion near me is the one I visit the most, they don't have as much variety as other Food Lions in the area. I used to work here long ago too. It's your basic local grocery store. Associates are friendly and helpful. Great cakes from the bakery too.”
“This cash-only food spot is amazing. Savory empanadas, papas rellenos, and chorizo are always available, along with a wide selection of drinks from all over North and South America in the cooler. A great value! Make sure to get the homemade hit sauce; it complements everything extremely well, and its spiciness doesn't overwhelm.”
“Every time I visit this location, either To-Go or in person, it is PHENOMENAL! Everyone there is nice and friendly, goes out of their way to make sure your good. One time an associate saw me looking for something and saw that I was frustrated because it was out of stock. He asked me what item I was looking for, and without saying anything he went to the back, (I assumed) and came back with the item. I thought that was great and unexpected. Every time I order To-Go 90% of the time I arrive after 8:00, which is when To-Go closes and the associates that work To-Go have gone home. They allow me to call the store and pull up to the front door and so graciously brings my order out to me. They don't have to do that...technically they could ask me to wait until To-Go opens back up the next morning. GAGE (I think that is his name) is the one that always answers the phone when I call to ask about coming later than 8:00. He has not one time made me feel like this was an issue. He is great, he even brings it out to me himself. Again, this is not something that is required of them. Today I ordered To-Go, and unfortunately, I got a message (from Instacart) saying that the store was busy, and my order would be rescheduled for pick up tomorrow morning. Of course, I was upset, given the fact that half of the order I needed for tonight for supper and in the morning for my kid's lunch boxes. So, I called the store just to see if they could do anything. HALEY (she is the manager over Customer Service) answered the phone and from the moment she spoke I knew I found the right person. I could tell she was smiling as she was talking to me. I explained what happened and that I really needed this order. I would have cancelled the order and went inside to get it myself but To-Go (Instacart) had already taken my money for the order, so I would have to wait for a refund. In addition to having to pay for my order again when I went into the store to purchase it. So, without hesitation she said I will take care of this. I will call Instacart myself and get this order pushed through. Keep in mind she is working and still took the time to stop what she was doing to call Instacart. Which I know for a fact is not something they have to do on the customers behalf. She was determined to make this happen so I could get my order this evening. She DID! She called me back and said I took care of it, and she personally shopped my order. This was something that meant so much to me. This location is the ONLY one I shop at, not because the location is convenient, actually it's across town from where I live. It's because of the people that work there, and how they treat their customers. This may seem like something little and not a big deal to some, but to me it was everything. It's about the little things and always will be. So, thank you Food Lion #1411, Haley, Gage, and all the To-Go shoppers for always taking care of me and my family. I hope everyone takes the time to read this review and changes where they are currently shopping for their groceries.Shawna Lubrano”
“This is one of my favorite dollar generals. They always in there working hard as hell. The shelves are ALWAYS stocked the way they should be. Granted they need to expand the size of the store but theyre always friendly and willing to help their customers with no hesitation and thats all that matters!”

“Gotta check out Ingles in Statesville, they are all not the same. Great deli bar, as well as other hot options; even freshly made sushi rolls available. Bright , colorful , & clean inside the store. I had a fresh made, 6" sub sandwich for lunch with a beverage, less than $7. My opinion is that fresh bread "makes" the sandwich. Also, Boars Head meat -- bar none the best!Check out the deli for lunch or dinner , you will be surprised by the options ... and cost.”
“The employees at this location (Hwy 90, Statesville) are always so very friendly and helpful. I've never shopped here and felt as though I was a bother. If you've ever given a retailer your business only to sense that the customers are an inconvenience, or bother, you know what I'm talking about.”
“I come in the Dollar general a lot to do my shopping I choose this location because the people are extremely friendly and they definitely go above and beyond I've never had a Dollar general employee help me with something I needed to purchase because it was too heavy for me to lift they even put it in my car for me this is definitely the place to go if you want positive service and friendly people for sure”
“I went to Publix today to pick out a cake for my friend's birthday dinner tonight and was pretty disappointed in the small selection of birthday cakes. The bakery said the only keep a few in stocks and suggested next time place an order online on in-store. So next time you're looking to purchase a cake order in advance.”

“I love Dollar General. It is a great store with a lot of good prices. The staff is friendly, and they usually can tell me if they carry items and where to find things. I suggest they mark the prices on all items even though you may ask the cashier for a price check.”
“Recently moved to statesville and stopped in. They are all very welcoming and considerate. When i asked if they could get an item in stock it was there within 3 days, i asked for another and it was there even quicker. This is their trade, Its their livelihood and it shows. They truly care and go the extra mile every time i go in. For such great customer service, theyre the best ive seen. Definitely worth a trip through the roundabout.”

“This is one of the best organized Dollar Generals that I have been to. Most other Dollar Generals have so much stuff piled up in the aisles that you can't even get to the shelves. The current manager Chelsea is very helpful and friendly.”

“I've been going in Barkers for years to get some things I can't find any or many other places. Today it was Blenheim (REAL) Ginger Ale. Hard to find but worth the search. While I was there I had some gun talk with Tom about how their new(er) guns and ammo sales are going. Always worth the stop!”
