“Love going here to get my lunch on a workday - the staff is also so friendly and helpful! Isa in the deli department was especially kind this afternoon, and brightened my day! Thank you all at Publix for all you do”

“These folks work so hard! Especially: Shelby, Caitrin, Chance, Rachael and Ian I believe his name is. These people have been through it during the flood and walmart closing. They’ve truly stepped up and have done great things for the community.”

“This little store is definitely a valuable resource for the people who live in the area, especially for the deli/cooked food which, based on the number of trucks in the parking lot, is a big hit for people to buy lunch in the area. Unfortunately I was hoping for a larger produce selection- which is not at all a negative against the store (they DID have heads of iceberg lettuce and I saw some green peppers too) but we were hoping to be able to get enough stuff to avoid driving to a proper grocery store. So that didn’t work out for us but considering how little there is in the area (no fast food restaurants or full grocery stores) it’s a very helpful place to stop for milk, drinks, chips, a small variety of canned goods, and a deli.”

“I come to shop once a month. This store almost always has what I need. I usually shop the outer edges and a few aisles. Staff is friendly. Checkers are usually quick. Parking is a little tight and store stays busy. Be careful in the parking lot.”

“Go to grocery store in the High Country!!! They gave a water and ice for free during the hurricane Helene while other places were charging!!! Well done Harris Teeter!!!”

“Wonderful place to get groceries. Cheapest place for bread, crackers, soda and fix the sweet tooth problem. The location of items in store has changed but that's about it.”

“The manager is very nice and offered to stock specific foods that they don't carry. Not a top tier grocery store, but I am surprised by options they do have.”

“Prices are a little higher but the fruit is always ripe ,I prefer their rotisserie chicken to the the other chain store
And their bakery peanut butter cookies are the bomb”

“They carry the tofurky sausages and the TOFUTTI dairy free cream cheese, Publix don't sell it no more in hickory they freaking replaced that with this awful disgusting tasting forbidden kind of plant based cream cheese, hello, any of you guys ever take a look on the side of TOFUTTI brand cream cheese,!? That's why it says better than cream cheese, it says perfect for bagels, cheesecake ,frosting, and so on!
The cream cheese that was put in place of the TOFUTTI at Publix is by Philadelphia cream cheese and it has excessive amounts of sodium in it and it has loads of coconut oil in it ! I would never I couldn't make a homemade cheesecake much less any other desert or additive or topping with that garbage! TOFUTTI is thick, creamy, not excessive amounts of sodium no coconut oil trash and so is the TOFUTTI dairy free sour cream you guys ,it's the best!!!!!!!!! I know what I'm talking about! If I had to go to the polls and vote bygolly for food matters concerns, it he voting for TOFUTTI TOFUTTI TOFUTTI”

“After taking a walk with my son on the Greenway, I mentioned that I had been wanting to check out this market for some time, so we stopped in. We live near Charlotte so we were only in Boone for a few days and
I introduced myself. I’m a Top Local Guide on Google. I recently reached 250 million views which I was excited to share. It takes years of writing and reviewing to get to this level of views.
That said, I truly enjoy supporting local businesses and hope the owner sees this review.
I took as many photos as possible to give others a look at what the market offers.
It’s always nice to discover & share about locally-owned businesses. I do hope future visits from guides, like myself that inspire curiosity, brings a warmer welcome.

Happy Exploring!

“I love this place. We always go to Boone and Blowing Rock with another couple and while the girls shop upstairs, we go have a beer. For some reason, beer taste better here, maybe because I'm not upstairs following my wife while she shops. This place has a great selection and I always try something I've never had before. I hate IPAs but I've tried a few here that I like. Again, I think it's because I'm drinking beer instead of following my wife around while she shops. It's a win win guys......or girls, try some beers you normally wouldn't like, they just taste better here. We're heading back in October and this is always our first stop because there's nothing like a beer buzz at 11:00am. Cheers!!”

“I have always loved visiting this store throughout the years. I first visited in 2000 when I was volunteering at Bethel school. The family that owns the store are so friendly and you always feel like you are at home when you walk in the door. I highly recommend you stop by and say hello the next time you are in the area. Grab you a drink and a snack and enjoy the beautiful valley of Sugar Grove.”

“There are 4/5 Walmarts in a 30 minute radius of where I live, and the West Jefferson Walmart is by far my favorite to go to. The employees are always super friendly. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. They have a much wider variety of items then the other local stores in the area' and I never have to maneuver around boxes in the walkways or rude workers, like I do every time I visit the Boone Walmart!”

“Always loved lazy day but one thing I'll say is to the guy that operates the crane machine (game) we noticed you've loosened the claw to where it's impossible to grab anything. I'll try back at a later date & if it's fixed I will update. ???Also would like to add, the car wash is far superior to the other one in town. Actually has tire cleaner despensing and just all around better.”

“I go here all of the time. Things are clean, employees are working hard to stock shelves, when using self checkout if there is a problem you can get it quickly resolved, and the Subway in there is also good. If you are in need of things I highly recommend this place!”

“These stores in rural and city locations provide a huge community need! There are many times I or my husband don't want to deal with the large discount store: crowds, self check-out, large layout which takes time to navigate and tires the elderly. Need I say more? Thank you for being a welcomed and viable shopping alternative!”

“I shop at the dollar general often for great prices.unfortunately the check-out line is often long with only one register open. It can be frustrating if you need to dash in and out fast. The employees are friendly and helpful.”

“Pretty much the closest thing to Walmart in town. Workers are friendly and hard working. Reason for 4 star instead of five is the dont have alot of things in stock at one go four miles down the road the other one does have it so you have to go to multiple stores to get what you need.”

“I'm not a fan of this brand, however, my reviews are based on the performance of the staff at each store, and not aimed at the company itself, which would be impossible because there are simply too many of them.Everyone here is delightful and the store is neat and tidy. Manager is Deb”
