“Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. This has been my branch for the last five years, and I have never had anything but a pleasant experience here. Line ups are always quick, and the tellers are always efficient. One of the managers here even knows my name at this point. Good bank.”

“I visited this branch for an inquiry and the experience was very fine and smooth. The staff are very well mannered and provided the necessary information. The only issue is the long wait. Perhaps having one more staff at the counter can help with this.”

“Staff were really helpful. We went there for paying ambulance bill, get change and collecting credit card. The entrance to quinoool road is temporarily closed . The entrance from parking lot is one that opens. Phone calls doesnt get returned though.”

Sometimes holds are placed on cheques more often then other banks I have used in the past BUT they usually offer to call your home branch & remove the hold & if they don't offer they will if asked. Also very trans friendly experiences with a teller I think named Matthew. Thank you!!”

“Wonderful experience today! Had to clear out my coin jar prior to moving and I had no idea my coins had to be in rolls for the bank to accept them. The woman at the front desk helped me sort all my coins, roll them up speedily, and was so pleasant and lovely. Wish this was my home branch!”

The moment you enter , someone will assist you immediately, the lady Rachel who helped us this morning 10:34 am was really great, that is why we don’t mind spending time to travel for 10 minutes even we have RBC near us.”

“I really like the response from the staff. Please allow me to describe the situation here. I returned to Halifax recently. After being away for almost three years, my debit card was expired. The staff understood my situation and provided new debit cards instantly. Fortunately I had old debit cards with me. I even did not have access to my old mail box. I really thank the staff in order to act quicky and be so nice n kind. Please continue to keep up the good work as you always do. I am very thankful to the staff for instant help.”

“In person the service is excellent. There is a teller there that i consider the best. And the phone service, once i get a teller, is excellent.My issue is business phone machines. First of all one of the options should be to speak with a teller for "other" reasons for calling, immediately (within a few seconds) of hearing other options out of respect for every one's time. (i.e. processing volume of callers a minute earlier is good... probably).- voice recognition is still garbage. button prompts make sense.- the machine voice shouldn't have an "advertising" or "outgoing" tone to it, this is rude. The tone sucks.- the machine process should respect the listener by not running ads constantly and selecting a modest volume to stay true to. Instead we have insipid music and then a much louder RBC ad layered over the music while you wait. This is very disrespectful. I'm not offended, i'm just tellin ya common sense.- customer service via phone has fallen off for every business i've interacted with. The culprit seems to be a lack of design values with machine services, which comes off as lack of respect for the customer. It's just sloppy design with greed to sell, disregard for people while handling volume. But design can make it nicer instead of loud, rude, annoying. Selecting better music isn't something you can teach, restraining yourself to have less useless advertisements (it's free so it doesn't hurt, right?), and quieter tones, not volume, the tone. A little more "japanese" could do us some good. Embrace restraint and smoothness in your design.”

“Last week I went to the Lacewood (don’t go there) location. Horrible service decided not to deposit my cheque there because of the awful service. So today I went to the spring garden location and I believe the representative’s name was Janel/ Jannel she was super understanding of my situation!! She made my horrible experience at Lacewood much better. When things were out of her hands she asked her manager who was also super understanding and didn’t hesitate to make sure I left happy after looking quickly at my account. That was banking done right.Thank you”

“Just needed to make a deposit. It was American money, so I had to wait for a teller to be available. The bank had just opened, and there were 3 people, in front of me. It took about a 10 minute wait but only about 5 minutes to make my deposit. All Bank service has declined over the years and it is very frustrating to stand in line, for 20 minutes, as the bank only has one teller working. I deal with several banks and they are all the same. On line banking is not for everyone but patience is a necessity when banking!”
